Hi everyone

After about 45 days of submission of cohabitation documents we received an email from IRCC confirming that the documents were attached to our file and forwarded to the office in charge of our application

Does anyone have an idea of how long it should take for us to hear from them from this time on ??

Thanks
can take a day or a week

yeah you got email.today right

could be next week or following week

Congratulations!! This is your AIP. They will start to consider your OWP application now, so my guess is that it will take 3-4 months to be approved. If you get your FBI check soon, you might land before getting your OWP.

Ah, I did not realize it would take that long for the OWP. Why does it take so long to approve the OWP when it went to the same office as my sponsorship application? I am unsure of what could possibly disqualify it from being approved at this point.

We are in a tight financial situation and would benefit greatly from myself being able to work, so I am wondering if I contact CIC of they would be willing to issue it in a quicker timeframe?

19.5 months to get SA/AIP/DM
21.5 months to land
Two months after DM?

Whoa! That's quite a wait.

:)

Nevertheless, all that ends well is good :)

Considering my experience with CIC, the statement "as soon as they look at your file again" kinda scarres me
That shouldn't be very long, kind of 60 days after they requested the documents. It took 45 days for them to link them. My expectation is that within 2 weeks they will look again to your file.

4 months is the "normal" processing time. Recently, people got it in 3-3.5 months. Because, my understanding (I can be wrong) is that because you lost your status, they didn't consider your OWP application. Now that you have AIP, you have status, and again, that's my understanding, it's like you would apply for the OWP on the day they gave you AIP.

Yes actually almost 10 weeks after DM. Montreal, like Etobicoke, are very busy offices. However, recently I read people that landed in about 5 weeks in these 2 offices.
