So jealous...I want the royal treatment too.

I didn't say which royal. Apparently the wife lost her Russian state health identification (card??). So, she was just going to go and hope for no problems. It's always a good day to find out your benefit plan covers stuff you didn't think about.

Now, who is going to pay for the surgery to fix her tooth???? I should say 3 surgeries over the next year.

Our benefits will pay for some of it for sure. But they have already stated they won't pay for "implant".

Hah

Hahahaha definitely. We are going for big party after landing.

Perfect :)

It might not hurt to bring the old void permits to the interview. Then you have them if they ask. Though CIC-Kitchener told us to bring all documents issued to us by CIC, and they didn't ask for anything other than a passport.

Sure. I will bring all of them with me anyways just to be on safe side. :)

Thank You so much Dominicantiguan. Yes we have the same timeline. We applied on April 27th 2016. And we got the medical request one after another. And then you got asked to submit new passport and Schedule A, but they asked me to submit Fingerprinting Police Report around same time again. I am hoping your turn is coming soon.
Hi Jagmeet,
congrats.
do you know when CIC received your passport and fingerprint?
I mean when CIC confirmed your file is updated. I am on the same page, your info will help me to predict my turn.
thanks.

Hello everyone,
So happy today. After waiting for almost 15 months we finally got the lading interview scheduled for July 20th. The email that I got states this:

Dear *************,

Your final determination for permanent residence interview has been scheduled at the above address on: July 20, 2017 at 9:00am. Please be prepared to wait up to 2.5 hours as interviews are conducted in order of arrival.

Please present this letter upon your arrival. Failure to appear for this interview will be perceived as a lack of interest in permanent residence and your application could be refused. Therefore, if you cannot attend this interview, please write or fax (780-495-6739) or email (CIC-Edmonton@cic.gc.ca) this office immediately and explain why.

So I have few questions in mind right now that I wanted to clear, here:
1. We don't have any DM letter sent to us, but is it safe to assume that we have got approved before we received this landing interview letter?
2. Can it be a relationship interview as well?
3. Why this letter says be prepared to wait 2.5 hours, does it normally say on everyone's landing's letter?
4. They asked me to bring Temporary Resident document Issued by CIC(Work permit, Study Permit, Visitor Record). Since I have been out of status I don't have any kind of permit. What should I bring with me? Or are they asking me to bring my previous Study permit and Work permit that had been issued to me in the past?
congratulations Jagmeet. How long it took you to get landing confirmation after decision made.

Thank You Speechless. They requested for fingerprinting on June 7th and I did them on the same day but I told them to send the results to me first. And I got them on June 12-13th. And sent them the next day, got confirmation that they received on June 20th.

did you get the request from CPC-M?

Thank You Sidhubi. I never got DM letter just got a call from case office yesterday and today I got landing interview date.

thanks Jasmet.
what about passport?
I sent my passport copy with the application and never got asked to submit anything other than medical and Fingerprinting Police Report.

If you tell them. Try calling the call centre to confirm

I called CIC many times today for rescheduling the landing interview, but none succeeded to get an agent, and there is no email response either. Don't know whether I should cancel the trip to the US, or just take the flight and keep calling them while staying in the US...

Hoping and praying it comes soon too! I noticed that you're in Edmonton so it may not be as busy as it is here in Etobicoke but very well happy for you. I'm also out of status so I really feel your pain

BTW, the landing interview is scheduled on July 13.

I suppose this is a personal preference/priority thing. To me, I would be rescheduling the trip. But different strokes for different folks.

If you cannot reach them, you can contact your local MP and explain you've tried and failed to reach CIC to reschedule. Ask them to intervene.
