i made that police certificate in Sep 2016, and came here canada in Nov 2016,
If I understood correctly your previous posts, you are preparing to apply for sponsorship, but you did not apply yet, am I right? If so, then don't worry, submit your application with the police certificate you have and to be on the safe side, apply for a new one. If IRCC requires it later in the process, you will have it in hands.

We did the same and had a little gap from issuance to arrival. We submitted anyway.

I'd submit your app now so they start processing, and get a new PCC ordered. Then you have it if they ask.

They don't normally take them anymore until they ask a little later on.

To me, Canadians are the longest living people on earth now. So I'd argue the food is fine. In fact, the claims regarding meats are almost entirely false. I don't see meats at my grocery who have hormones at all...
It's always the same story... don't touch my market! Our dairy farmers also complained about the trade agreement that will bring tons of cheese produced in Europe. They were complaining about the different quality standards and other things... So to me, this kind of reaction occurs in any country, even ours. I also fully trust our Canadian food industry.

Doing med checks in the morning. Just curious, my 3 children have student visas currently that expire on 09-30-17. I am hoping the last part of this process goes quickly, but assuming it doesn't- we have to send in for extension of the visas to study by 08-30-17. I am wondering what happens in that case? I send the extensions out on say August 29th and then the next day we get final decision....and I am out the $450 ??? I am currently out of status and was told that I can still land while out of status, but the representatives from the call centre have been advising me that I MUST have a status whether that be a valid worker or visitor status (problem is I cannot be restored and the only way to get a new visitor visa status would be to leave the country and return (which I also cannot do due to the fact that I have a PR application pending). Due to this issue, I am just not sure how it is best to proceed regarding the visas that will expire by the end of September. Any advice?

So, just general protectionism?

I had no concerns at all for food supplies. My mother-in-law has severe hive-like sores that she scratches to bleeding. When she was in Canada, after a few days, they lessened dramatically. At the end of her visit, they were totally gone.

She has dietary issues anyway, resulting from GI scarring from years passed. So she cannot absorb iron properly as a result (so they say).

However, just eating what we eat, and living how we live, it all stopped.... True story

Since I am the one who told you that you don't need status (you won't have time to get a visa...so the call centre is dead wrong, but anyway), did you want me to comment here, or you want another opinion?

I am not worried about my status because of what you told me; I am more concerned with the kids status and losing even more money seeing as how this is an expensive endeavour. I assume if I can land without status they could too...I just don't want to take a risk I guess that the visa will expire and they cannot attend school. I am hoping we have a decision made before September, but who doesn't hope these things go quickly lol. I figured you had a recommendation for this one? You have given excellent help thus far.
