All this ego stroking is nice, but it's going to suck when my ego-balloon bursts this afternoon. My son's karate dojo is having a dad participation class today. So, dad's join the class with the kids.....

Ya, last time I was in any dojo was jiu-jitsu when I was like 8....

LOL.....lil Profiler is gonna keep you busy today. Too cute.

They also expect the Dad's to try to break boards.... and, of course, if you don't, you suck. Thankfully it's only for today...

LMAO...... Good luck. Tell them you need your hands for work. Don't take any chances.

I have benefits... and LD&D lmao!

Kids don't understand that -- if your dad doesn't break the board he's a whimp. See, this is the mentality. To top it all off, my wife isn't going (she won't be home from work until after it's over), and my ex is (she actually has him tonight, but wanted the karate experience to happen for my son).

#WhyMe.

Aww...... good grief. Why would they have the parents breaking boards. Don't you have to be at some high level (don't know what it is) to have the concentration to bypass the pain to break the boards. Just thinking of what I saw on tv.

Please do not try it. Get a paper cut before you leave work.

No, they have special "boards". But the problem is, you need someone strong enough to absorb the shock when you strike the board....

Profiler, do not do it.

Some foreign nationals do work for foreign governments intent on spying or disrupting. They spend much time and are good in tradecraft hiding Thier true identities. I can share a story where a whole family of Russian spies had set up shop for decades...

That said, it's easy to say 3-6 mos. We agree that is an acceptable time.

With world migration patterns, and the fact that CSIS rely heavily on international partners to help, lower priority cases (not to say that they really are..but the feds do have a driver to bring in more skilled workers) end up suffering WRT time.

I'll beg and see what the missus says

That i understand, so i would figure some applicants from certain countried are more high profile cases than others, and may be treated accordingly. But if you have a little man or woman , hail fròm the hills of blue mountain in a small country like jamaica, maybe spent most of his/her life in school n raising a family. . . Poor soul dont know nothing about spying
May be into other things, but nothing you need 6,7,8 months to find out,
I feel like they would be better served filtering some applicant and streamlining others, but then again, its not like some nationals are all bad while others good. . . . I get what u saying.
Thats is why i just easy myself, live a day at a time. .
My father said he got this one as well so i must just relax

No, I am pretty sure they saw, "Jamaica" and said, "Ahh, the gange..." Plus, they like the food -- we all do.

TBH, you're considered low priority because of what I said. You're low risk, in a safe place. They are not coming to the door to talk to, or deport you. To them, they will get to the case when they have some time, and they will finish it up. Totally get that you want to move on with your life, but you can probably safely assume that you won't have an issue, and it's just time. Many, many, many Jamaican's have come before you, and will after you (crazy, crazy kids -- who would want to live in a snow globe!).

I know it's nerve wracking, but it's not because they are giving you extra scrutiny... they just haven't gotten to you yet! :)

CIC requested new passport and RCMP on May 17, submitted on the same day May 17 (I sent via CSE) .RCMP Ottawa told they sent it on may 18 to CPC-M. Called twice CIC and still file is not updated. What is happening actually? How long it takes for them to update a file? I am April 4 applicant,2016.

It's reasonable. Lately they are taking 30 days to get to CSE's.

Ha ha ha i know that!!!! They not wasting time on little fish like me when they have sharks to trail ha ha thats why i just like live my life. . But not every person thinks like me, some in this very forum worry about everything, i guess anxiety contributes to that.. . . .its just the process, and the more we understand it , the better some will adjust. I guess as i have ofter said, , i am too old for somethings. . They wouldnt need to deport someone like me. . . Too old for crap like that. . . Just tell me "go" and am out of here. . . Its my wife i would be more worried about she would be a wreck.
My culture dictates , i will survive anywhere i am, jamaica, canada Israel, anywhere. I just would rather call this home. . . So like i said before , am waiting
