No just a 4.5-5 hour flight. Air Canada and West Jet have direct flights.

You have to understand.... I was born in Milton. I have lived in Toronto's western 'shadow' for almost 4 decades.. (that means, I have not traveled much... and St Lucia is pretty far ).

I do wonder, is there a visa requirement for Canadians to visit St Lucia? My guess is, like most of the "West", we have a visa-free reciprocity....

EDIT: I did actually look that up. As I suspected, there is a visa-free reciprocity, but it's only 6 wks...

No visa requirement. Pre 9/11 Canadian could travel on their driver's licence. Now you need a passport. Yes now you must have a return ticket that does not exceed 6 weeks. If you want to stay longer you can extend your stay no problem. Just go in to the Saint Lucia Immigration Department.

I received email from CIC two days ago, one day after I found both the sponsor and applicant status been "decision made". That email says "it has been determined you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for a permanent residence. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements have been met".

So I guess the landing is much closer?

I just met a Ukrainian/Russian couple to applied for a visa to visit SLU and they told me the same thing about requiring a Schengen wisa.

For some reason I have no desire to visit Wegas. I went to a casino New Orleans (New Orleeeeeenz) and they are allowed to smoke there and it was awful. So I just figured that all casinos in Wegas are like that.

BTW, New Orleeeeeenz is a great place to visit.

It says"We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in London IRCC will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application. "
I am pretty sure this is a DM for landing interview!!

Yeah it's on my hit list. New Ooo-leans. I am totally going to avoid Novo Rossya until either they hang Orange Julius, or until it all calms down. Yup, they smoke at the machines in the hotels in Wegas. If it wasn't for my previous employer sending me to a convention, I would not have gone. The light pollution is terrible. But, we did meat a Cuban-Canadian there by chance. Totally went out drinking that night. I think we missed the classes the next day....

I heard the EU is dropping the Wisa regime for Ukrainian passports? Maybe still in process? I know my blue passport gets me in the door for most places I would visit.

I wonder what Rachel will have to say tonight, Re: Agent Orange. I feel like I woke up in an alternate reality today...

Yes I have no desire to go until Agent Orange (LMAO) is gone. I caught some of the Comey action yesterday. I loved when he said that he hoped the and Agent Orange were being taped. Paul Ryan is a disgrace.
