Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Following up on my last post...used the tool to see if my sponsor's decision got made and the status changed to DECISION MADE!! I don't know what that means though. Waiting to hear back from my husband to see if he got an email.

I've been keeping my eyes to the CIC site for a status update, since my app was officially received May 2016 and thanks to this message board, I saw my time for approval might be coming up!

So today I use the online tool to see an update and low and behold, I got this! They said they sent a correspondance on June 3rd with possibly a request for more info. Did anyone else run into this? :

1. We sent you correspondence on June 3, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Would my representative (attorney) receive it before me?

IRCC had a major breakdown in their system after the update this morning. They are working on fixing the issue so many people might not be able to get into their online account right now.

New updates were seen in online accounts where majority of them were not sent by IRCC. I spoke to 2 agents this morning to confirm this because i saw a request for medical in my account. They did not send me any request.

Once the error is fixed i would suggest you get back into your account and if you still think there is a mistake, you should call IRCC to confirm that they didnt request anything from you and that your account is back to normal.

For some people it might be right and for others it might be wrong. Depends on your timeline. Do not rely on your account or automated machines at this time since both are linked and could have wrong information at this point . Speak with an actual agent regarding your account.

Thanks, but that is what I used initially. I think its because I left gaps when I returned from travelling even though I kinda stated in one line that I was kind of employed the entire time.

Just Checked my CIC and there's some changes made in my account.

Review of additional Documents - From N/A to We do not Need Additional Documents

and the new line came up which is Biometrics and shows - We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes

The rest is still the same: In process/ In progress / Passed the Medical exam.

Any idea on this? thank you

Same thing happened to me. It added the same Biometrics (not needed) and added that reviewing eligibility (which was earlier "next thing to do"). I already had passed medical which did not change, and no more docs/ interview needed. What do you think, is the eligibility thing put us one step ahead?

They will typically send a "Procedural Fairness" letter before they refuse an application, to give you one last chance to submit what they have asked for or expect. They will typically give another 30 days to get those proofs.

There is a scenario where you can actually go from SA -> DM. If your security check is finished, and your medical still valid when they assess your file for membership in the Family Class. It's possible for them to just decide, once they had the relationship proofs.

That said, We got a DM in ECAS, and within 2 hours a landing invitation from Kitchener. I didn't get a DM letter until 2 days before we were to land...

Thanks for sharing this information. I just found out a decision has been made on my husband's sponsorship of me, but no DM yet on my application. I'm so excited/nervous!!!

We were a special case. We got SA on March 21, and DM at the end of April. We were delayed by 3 weeks because we needed to redo a medical. They landed my wife the next week after DM in ECAS.

In our case, we got SA and AIP within minutes, DM the next day. But we got these a bit more than 19 months after the application date.
