Ditto! Call me a creature of habit, but I'm not really fussy on this new format at all...not to mention that it all but cripples my old computer that used to work just fine with the old forums. Now, I have to use a computer in the kitchen, which is not nearly as convenient. I suspect my presence here will all but die, which is ok; time to move on I suppose. ;)

Ponga, it has been a pleasure reading your posts!

I can't speak for Edmonton, but for me in Calgary it is next week and I just got the landing letter today.

Congratulations Polarvolcano! Fantastic news!!

@profiler , @carolbb23 , @sylvain1 either way i would have to renew my password and i and going to because they give me deadline june 1st although they know its impossible to get the new passport in hand by then but my representative told me they know i wont get it by then but just bring something to show/state that i sent it to get renew. i'm just wondering if they would hand me without having it at hand. i heard rumors about it happening.

Father, scan and send copy of the receipt showing you paid the passport processing fee.

We went apply for OHIP card today using hubby's AIP letter. Everything went well. They told us OHIP will be effective 3 months after AIP date (4 May 2017) so 4 Aug 2017.

Hopefully we get DM soon! :)

Quebec is a bit different (what a surprise!!). They start the coverage on the first of a month, so my wife got AIP on March 20th, but she will be covered from June 1st. Here it's "up to 3 months" instead of 3 months after.

Perfect! When he lands, stop by Service Ontario and fill out the change in conditions form... Simple form, takes like 30 sec to-do... Then it will never expire...

OHIP is particular, considering the level of coverage .. like Quebec, I believe it's all covered but the extravagant stuff like massage or acupuncture. Sex reassignment is even covered.... So I think it's a precautionary measure to make sure they're not just up and leaving...

But another different things here, is that even after the landing, the coverage is valid only for a year. After the end of the first covered year, she has to prove that she was living here for at least 6 months.

Thank god I'm not the only one!!! I've been seeing around that people are getting requested for Schedule A's. I wonder why that is?

I was asked to provide my Schedule A.. but months ago. Maybe a month or two after I submitted it.

Hi guys, I just have a question about OWP AND AIP. If you have both of those during an inland spousal application, can you leave Canada and re enter or does it impact the pending application negatively? Thank you!

really? didn't know you could do this. Thanks for the info. But what if one is refused as the landing interview? haha.

Oh...really?? They didn't mention that to us. I suspect the billing from a doc / hospital satisfies OHIP? Not sure really?

Either way, you'd have some tax form that you could use... Like a T4or T5007 or whatever..

Huh... That would be slightly annoying...

Virtually impossible if you've kept them updated and told the truth... But yes. OWP with a full-time job also is eligible.
