Hi,
I applied in-land in Aug 2016 and have just been asked for additional details of government employment (as a teacher). Has anyone had to fill out the "Details of Police Service and Government Positions" form??
Thanks :)

If your OWP isn't expired, no need to send employment details... OWP is open..

Courier with signature to CPC M, 2 Robert Speck Parkway. As long as they get it before the current one expires, you should be ok.

Make sure your passport will be valid for the next year or two

Fee is paid online. Permit fee + OWP holder fee = $255

EDIT: send to:
CPC Vegreville
Work permit for spouses and common-law partners
6212–55th Avenue – Unit 777
Vegreville, AB
T9C 1X6

Via courier with signature.

No just a copy of the passport, and I'd pay the full fee. It's better to pay too much, and let them refund you the difference, then to not pay enough and drop out of status....

Thanks again and you are great as always,
As I had told you, I applied on April 1, 2016.
so according to your stats, I will get it anytime May 2017.
you mentioned earlier, if my application approved I can get back 255 or I can request CIC to adjust it with my
permanent residence fees. right....

So they are about 13 - 15 mos for processing now. For PR. About 4-5 for OWP.

Theory is: you apply for OWP, they issue you a PR in June and have yet to issue your OWP. You cancel the application and request a refund.

If you apply tomorrow for OWP, you won't have it until September or October.. but you will have a PR by then :D

EDIT: See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=613&top=4

They might not refund the OWP holder fee, but they will refund the permit fee for sure..

I can testify profiler is the go to guy

have you been checking both emails for the principal applicant and sponsor? junk mail also, as well as ecas and mycic? You can also contact CIC and see what is going on as they are working on end of march 2016 applicants now. Might be able to help.
