Hello everyone! I may seem new to this even though I'm actually not (because I've followed this timeline updates and 2015) for a while.. just never officially joined until now. I would like to first say congrats to everyone who I've seen got through after some time of their struggles, concerns and lots of hope and help from those in the forum. I'm a little concerned myself.. we know how this process makes one feel. My wife.. born Canadian sponsored me after I've overstayed seeing her. These are my details so far..
We received your application to sponsor on April 27, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 31, 2016.
We started processing your application on May 30, 2016.

No requests for medicals yet (as we didn't send it upfront) Can I get some good luck from you guys? can Profiler estimate when i'll hear some good news back? anything would be so appreciative. My wife and I would love to hear ANYTHING BACK.. lol.

If I was guessing, probably looking at Mid May for a medical request... Based on the dates you provided...

good luck

have you thought about just doing your medical and sending it in? We did ours without them asking, a long time ago, sent it in a long time ago, they just recently told us "medical complete", so that was nice to get affirmation that we did a good thing way back when we thought of just doing it and sending it in..... we were worried that it would expire and we would have to re-do it but they approved it a few days ago

You can't anymore. The medical examiners are no longer doing FC/SCLP medicals without an IMM 1017. CIC directed them to no longer submit them. You can do them for other classes or Temporary Residency Permits, but not PR's.

oh ok, I didn't hear of this change, we did ours about a year ago, + a couple weeks I think. it was a very busy doctor's office with many new immigrants

We keep going over this, botengcoke :).

OWP: Keep an application ready to courier a few days before the 28th (given the May 2-4 in there, send it maybe May 10th).

Medical: Ours was submitted 6 actual days (because of Easter Friday/Monday) from the testing date. Accepted as passed 2 days after that. You will be fine. Just drink lots of water and think of Niagara Falls! :).

(PS: You can't be deemed medically inadmissible, due to excessive demand anyway. Spousal sponsorships are exempted from that :) Pro tip there for ya).

Now, go get poked and prodded! GL!

The doctor has a legal obligation to explain that to you. With no explanation, eat another pound of delicious bacon...mmmm...

Anything bad they will try to assess further or treat. Else... bacon-city!

There has been a change in myCIC today. All of the answers seem shorter now. I wonder if this is just us, or...

Under "Review of Eligibility", the blurb about "If we need more information, we will send you a message" is now gone. It's just "We are reviewing your eligibility"

Anyone see this in myCIC too?

No mine is the same:
Your application is in progress. The next step is to review your eligibility.

But we do not have SA/AIP/DM yet.

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!

It is such a BIG BIG surprise, my husband landed on the interview day on Friday April 21st !!!!!!!!!

We were requested for an interview (not a landing interview for sure...from its wording) and asked to bring a lot of stuffs.
I was freaking out.

But when we arrived, the officer told me that we were just randomly picked for quality assurance!!!!! And he has absolutely NO concerns about our relationship so he WONT transfer our case out for higher efficiency. He will grant my husband PR on the SAME DAY!!!

He still sepnt two hours talking to each of us because again we brought so many stuffs to support. He concluded that we are not only a genuie relationship, but also a HAPPY relationship! So he let us have lunch first, then come back to office at 1:30pm for LANDING!!!!!

So, he landed on the same day! What a surprise for us!!!!
We submitted the app on 1.22.2016, and everything ends in a perfect way on 4.21.2017. Total 15 months.

Good luck to everyone else in this forum. Dont need to worry if the relationship is 100% genuie !!!

Congratulations Cheryyyyy!!

Hello! I asked this question in another thread but did not get an answer regarding police certificate. Can someone advise me?
In the letter form CIC it says:

"Please send the requested documents to:
Case processing centre - Vegreville

Note that all inquiries with respect to your application must submitted via the case specific enquiry form at the following link..."

So should I send it my mail or through case specific enquiry form?

+1.

Ms Profiler's said, "I am afraid of you", when I showed her. Granted I told her I was going to hack the government to fix it. OBVIOUSLY not what I did... Now she just says I am obsessed.

Ya think. What's wrong with a lil obsession. :-X
