Cohabitation, Carol... means living at the same civic address. So no chats or Facebook.

Everything that she may have ever received in mail. Bank account profiles, government mailings, library profiles, government issued ID (DL, etc). Anything that proves/shows she is at the same civic address.

Thanks Profiler, i think the ontario photo card
combined with the letter from CIC for PCC plus
the OHIP form should be good to prove my wife s
address as same as me.

Should be ok. I don't have an Ontario ID card, so, as long as it has an address, you're fine.

Hello Everyone!!

Just wondering if someone could give me some advice on my situation. Me and my partner have been together 2 years and I am expecting a baby this July. He will be coming to Canada next month and then we will get married in June and will be applying through the spouse sponsorship program. Does it make our application look bad or have a negative effect if we only get married a month or 2 after him being here and then apply? We want to be married before the baby comes which is why we are getting married more quickly.
Also, I was with him in south africa (where he's from) previously and we were going to get married there in december but it was also really important to me that my family be at my wedding and they weren't able to fly out there which is also another reason we wanted to wait until he was in canada. Is it okay for us to get married in canada so quick and then apply or will it look suspicious?

**Also, once I found out I was pregnant I returned to canada as I knew I wanted our family to live here and me and my partner have had to spend 4 months apart whilst we sort everything out....don't know if this will make a difference? We have everything prepared and plenty proof of relationship etc I just thought it would be better for me to return to Canada to 1- make sure I had good health care during the pregnancy, and 2 -get everything prepared for him coming here and applying etc.

Any feedback/advice would be highly appreciated.

Thank you!!!

Not at all. You will have a child in common. There is no concern there at all.

Have you read the guides or checklists? He's better to get any paperwork he will need, before he comes to Canada...

Are you applying inland, or outland?

We will be applying Inland as he will be applying for the OWP as well. Yeah, we have everything pretty much prepared to submit, all the forms, paperwork, documents, proof etc!

Letter from your landlord indicating that you both reside at your current address and for how long. A bill in your name and a bill in spouse's name with same address. Bank statements with both names and address,

It's been a big week. I finally received my OWP on March 28th! Now to wait for the excitement of PR. It will be nice to not constantly be checking the CIC website!

Yay!! Congrats Kevin!

Really? You're in the same office building?

So, tell me something, do they ACTUALLY open the front doors? When we called, they like don't answer between 9 - 9:30, and they seem to shut the phones off at 11:15. The posted hours were 9 - 12.

Ms Profiler said it reminded her of home...
"Can you help me get a police certificate?"
"Go to website."
"The website seems to say contact you"
"Go to website."
"Can I come in to apply?"
"Go to website."
