Wait, what? Apprenticeship? Can I ask what you were apprenticing for?

I worked in a daycare so I was going to go to school for my ECE diploma.

All that being said, since I have been stressing about all this....The med checks, we did not do them upfront...will CIC request those to be done when the time comes? I just want to make sure I have dotted all my I's and crossed all my T's. I don't want to keep hitting road blocks, or end up surprised further down the line. Thanks

Did you not have to obtain a study permit in order to do the apprenticeship? I would think that would give you a status other than having the work permit. That really sucks. Sorry to hear that...guess I am not alone in these worries and fears, and at times overwhelming confusion.

They will always request them if they don't have them completed. No worry here.

Hi,
I got a medical request today thru mycic account. (application received by cic on july 14 2016)
I have a question about it.
After I did the medical exam, do I need to submit the result on my cic account? or the doctor will submit it for me?
There is a doc required section open on my cic account, asking me to upload the medical result.
I am confused about it.
any thoughts?

The doctor will send it to cic directly. You just keep the acknowlegment he gives you

Same thing here. I been unemployed since my out of status 2 years ago. It's definitely hard with only my boyfriend bringing in an income. I cannot wait for this to be over and for me to be able to work again. I had a great job and they were sending me to finish my school through an apprenticeship program. Definitely heartbreaking. Good luck on tuesday!

It was all happening around the time I was suppose to renew my work permit. I think I needed a study permit but at the time I didn't realize that, so it's probably better I didn't end up doing it. I guess I thought since it was through work, I wouldn't need it. I know under 6 or 8 months, you don't need a study permit.
