Wow! congrats to you!! you applied about a month before us, so that is pretty encouraging. how long ago did you get sponsor approval, mine still says "In Process" with no changes in forever, seems maybe it all happens simultaneously?

ECAS changed to DM yesterday
DM letter in mycic early this morning. ;D
Last week IRCC contacted my husband (the sponsor)via telephone and requested proof of address. He emailed a few payslips to the email address given to him by the officer.
Feb 19 Applicant.
SA July 5
SIP July 13
I did my MEDs upfront on Feb 2, 2016. Called IRCC after it would have expired to ask if they received it since its receipt was not acknowledged. Agent said the results came in before the App. The next day it showed Pass.

In mycic is it normal to have that "you don't need medical exam. We will inform you if this change".? I have thought everybody needs it. And how long it takes to get request to do medical exam?
My application is still stuck in background check. For an year pretty much. Just wonder why because my criminal check should be clean as possible. Also I'm from "good country" if I can say that. I sent two copy of passport ;one I used when I came to Canada and copy of my new one which I got in Canada (for OWP). Just wonder if they check both of those and maybe they don't even understand why two passports because I didn't wrote it down in the application.. So tired of to wait

This is the normal default message for those of us who didn't do upfront medical. It changes to "we are reviewing medical results" once they request a medical.

The MP's office basically told us that they want the medical ASAP, because they are ready to DM. I guess we know what the decision will be.... stupid medical validity...

@GuyanaGirl -- It was your voodoo curse on CPC-M I bet. Because ECAS still shows her side as "Application Received". chuckles Ohh ECAS.. the butt end of every joke in life... Always the bride's maid, never the coconut..

Mine was "In Process" since last June or July. Then literally when Matthar's reported SA, like 48 hours later it changed up, and a flurry of activity seemed to happen. Her side still says "Application Received".

But thanks. Don't worry, it's coming. They didn't forget us!

AIP - Approval in Principle. Cic states the Principal Applicant is eligible to apply for a PR as a member of the class. It also means that, in some provinces, like Ontario, the applicant is eligible for OHIP. Security, Criminality, Background, and Medical still pending.

DM - Decision Made. Cic has made a ruling on the application.

PA - Principal Applicant. You.

thanks profiler... last question! do you know how long it will take for Renewal? or its is a same process like 4 months? and what do i need to show my Employer that i am waiting for my renewal of OWP... (currently workinhg)... thank you dear! adnave happy birthday for us!

Just show proof that you paid and sent (courier receipt) is enough I would think. It will take 4 months, and they won't approve it, because they will just approve the PR and you can get a refund on it .
