Competing opinions I would not consider as seriously as people's experiences.. Then again, every case is unique. You sure seem to have acquired quite a bit of knowledge and it is nice that you are sharing it with us..

Mine is an opinion too. Some based in experience, some in the experience of others. As I said, take them all with a grain .

Hello All, I'm beginning to notice that CIC is issuing AORs for applicants who applied after December 23. i'm just a little concerned as I have not heard back from CIC for my application which I submitted on Nov 16. Is there anyway I can find out what is the situation with my application ?

AOR is issued within a month or so. But some have not received them. Are you 2015 or 2016 applicant?

Oh, our AOR was out of order too. For us, March 2 2016 and AOR May 13.

I am new to your inland forum and wanted to share some info - I submitted my husbands inland app with his OWP app on Nov 23 by courier and received an email AOR with UCi # for my husbands app today - 2.5 - 3 weeks!

I logged into Ecas and see they have started processing his application. I am surprised they responded so quickly - I didn't expect to hear from them till January based on previous inland app postings. Just wish there was a way to track the OWP process - oh well - thankful for small mercies!.

Hopefully their faster processing time plans are kicking in as they announced last week!

I also applied to sponsor my parents in January of this year and both my husbands app and my parents app are listed on the Ecas site - however my husbands is now in process and nothing started on my parents own yet - interesting.

Will keep you posted on progress!!

If the Principal Applicant is signes up on myCIC, then you may be able to find the OWP. We just found my wife's in the mailbox a couple days prior to 4 mos (and Canada Day)...

No clue, but I was surprised to get my AOR on a Saturday! Usually the government does not work on holidays, but you never know..

That could be delay in the server or in mail transmission too. But I don't think you can call them on those days...

That was indeed very fast! Our app was was received on Nov.25 and I received our AOR last Saturday. I have been signing into ECAS daily but apparently we are not being processed yet..Oh well.. Perhaps they are processing yours because of the OWP which my husband does not require as he is retired!
