Mrs. Profiler changed your passwords?

No I deleted the profile, but apparently it was still living (and people were adding 'Karma' while I couldn't log in).

There is some side stories I can share in a pm. Needless to say, I am only going to resolve the present questions that people asked me directly (and ones that I saw obvious errors to). Then I am out.

Sorry to hear it. But it seems that "karma" works both ways since your profile got so stubborn all of a sudden and decided to have a will of its own...

Nah don't be sorry, others have it well in hand. Personally, I have enough politics in my life. I don't need to 52! them (that's a factorial).

They just don't delete the profile. It remains and can be reactivated.

Anyway no landing, but there is OHIP. Since contacting my MP (who is on the board at IRCC I have come to find out), they have been routinely calling their contact within IRCC for updates without me asking. I am just waiting on an update from their office regarding very specific questions that I have for personal interest. Now that the Ms has OHIP, we could care less as to how long the process will take. She can work, she can go to the doctor/dentist, all covered, she can drive. What else does she need for now? Her medical passed, so there was talk of perhaps a mini-me, but not quite yet..

That's wonderful news! And you are right, now that you have everything covered including OHIP there's no reason for stress anymore.
Maybe you'll "talk" more about the mini-you around New Years that way you'll have a mini-analytical-Sheldon-like-virgo around ;)

Hi Everyone

I havent been reading this thread in a while because the waiting and constantly checking is kinda stressing me out. I was wondering though if anyone could help with a couple of questions i had...

1. Has anyone on this thread ever applied for an extension of the open work permit? If so how long did it take to be processed?

I sent off my application for an extension with proof that i have not worked in Canada for a full 4 years as per their work permit laws almost 3 months ago. Based on their 4 month turn around time for new work permits im hoping to have an answer by the end of December. Seeing as its an extension and not a new permit though my timeline may be incorrect and thats why im hoping someone else may have some feedback on this. I have never been able to link my paper application on my account and im concerned i have been waiting all this time and it has not even been received. I chose not to do it online because i provided a fair few documents to show that i had not been working in Canada for the full 4 years of the two work permits i have already been here on.

2. Does anyone have a contact number for the Vegreville office?

I would like to call them to check up on the status of the application and make sure that they actually did receive it! I really should have done that as soon as i sent it and not waited a couple of months!

Any comments anyone can share would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks!

My mother-in-law stated, within an hour of meeting me, "So when will I have grandkids" (in Russian of course)... Funny part here, is that there already is a mini-analytical-Sheldon-like-virgo around (no joke -- September 16). He is 4, and just started JK...

When did you apply for OWP? Was it sent with your inland application? When (why???) did you apply to extend it?

EDIT: I checked the spreadsheet. You should have sent the OWP with your application on June 30. However, you should just call the call centre (888-242-2100) and ask them why they have yet to send your OWP. 4 months is the average, and you are now over that.

Congratulations on Mrs. Profiler ohop and all we can do is sit tight

got our gmcs notes and just wondering where to look to see if we got in the "fast track" or not..... applied March 2016, and in the notes everything, including spouse sponsor, says "not started"

was hoping we'd be getting close already but seeing all the people from mid 2015 just getting their applications started now, it seems like a 2 year process :(

It depends what you want to see...most beneficial and most common is requesting the Applicants info. You can always make two requests---do the sponsor the second time. Make sure you select Electronic Officer Notes when you get to that section....not file...or you'll get a copy of everything you sent them. (which can be good too--to ensure they've scanned all you sent them--but not what you are looking for right now).

We usually use a license or passport copy for ID and the Access to Info document.
