Going to be sending our application mid-November now. 'Cause we're paranoid that if we send the application by the end of November, by the time they open it, they won't count it for the spousal open work permit pilot ??? From what I've gathered, it usually takes them about 30 days to open the application from received?

I guess sometimes it could depend on the officer as well? Hopefully, we would be deemed eligible based on when the application was received and not when it has been opened and started processing... ??? ??? ??? ???

It varies. Send via courier so you have a receipt (very important). If you send the day before and they sign for it (courier) the day it's supposed to expire, you'll get it...

To be frank, inland + OWP is a hugely successful program (despite complaints)... only the PGP is a tremenous flop gor CIC... they'll likely extend forever..

Makes sense. I'm guessing that if you at least have the receipt, you'd be able to somewhat plead your case to the agent lol.

It seems rather popular and everyone seems to like it.

Fingers crossed!!!

Every year from 2013 it's been extended..

PGP has massive failures and families are broke now because the PGP can not use social services for like 20 years...

guys,

in applying for a job the employer makes an background check on you through private security firm, by singning a form that you allow it. How long does it take? and how they check it?

if you guys knows it only.

thank you

This guy knows...

sigh OK you didn't ask..
I have done them, given that my job generally requires access to sensitive information (financials, sales pipelines, disabilities, medical histories (that was the f*&^in worst let me tell you), etc), and my wife is an accountant. She did do one for the job she is at now. Took like <48h and was obviously non-resultant.

Unless you have a terrible record in the west (like US/Can and maybe UK) you'll be fine...

@ Profiler: Thanks buddy, you really helped a lot

You bet mate. Anything I can do, just ask -- though I have a pretty good team here to help too (team 2016; we need to have shirts screened....)

Hold up... "mate"... you're from the Commonwealth??

If so, why didn't you say so?! Apps from the CW usually cut through the line faster (kinda like US apps). Sipfarms is from downudah, and they applied just before us (we are March 2)... they land first week in Nov..

For US apps--maybe Outland. I'm 10.5 months waiting and kicking myself for not applying outland. I know others from USA that are waiting even longer than me and several who applied after me from USA already landed. I have a very straight forward case and part of SIR. I haven't been able to figure out any consistency that makes sense.

Did you get a document request?

Do you know of the inland spreadsheet? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Yn3BFzI4q4xAy4EW3pG4CgQz9o3EzF5b18_tcSJwBhA/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=658237024 Have a look at 2016's sheet...

?? I was asking simpsol22.

That said, no they are deafeningly quiet. Not an issue though, it's only an issue when they make noise about paperwork! ;)

That said, you should look at the hundred or so posts I made today. You may find at least one very interesting...

Opposie Daisy Mr. Profiler seems like they are quiet
