I have submitted on April 1, 2016.
Our group no is same but they didn't mention SIR.

My guess is because no medicals were submitted.
But it's a lil strange, my app was sent July 13; 3 months and a half between us...

Everyone please re-read the operation bulletin. SIR is all apps submitted before june 13, 2016 that did not have AIP at that date. Of these apps they'll be divided by straightforward cases and ones that need closer review. Having special program SIR does not mean you are straightforward.

Those that are part of SIR program (straightforward batch )they have in their notes stated: special program: SIR.
I can see though that you have the same group # and description as mine. When did you submit your app?

I saw that same group number when I first got my notes back in February. I think it's standard and not related to program SIR

Definitely not SIR, but some sort of grouping I assume..

Not that i know of. You can find it in your GCMS notes.

The bulletin states that anyone who applied by june 13, 2016 that did not yet have AIP is part of the SIR program. And those who applied after that date will not be part of reduction efforts but will be processed as quickly as possible.

I'm the wave of june 16. (Police check request in that first mass request -despite my notes showing they had mine) yes followed up with them right away. But it's been over 4 months and still nothing.

Also did upfront medical june 4 and they still haven't reviewed it. Someone from my app month did theirs the day before me and at end of July got medical passed updated on their file.

Just stage 1 eligibility.
They are still processing in groupings which others are starting to share..

And in the Op bull they also state that they plan to continue SIR in 2017.. section 1 had that detail..

The operational bulletin says "which have not yet received a stage one eligibility decision". And if you go to this website it says stage 1 eligibility is AIP. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/processing/pr.asp

I guess the part I was referring to is in the cic notice from June 13 "If you have not yet submitted an application to sponsor your spouse or partner but plan to do so, the application will not be dealt with as part of our backlog reduction efforts, but it will be processed as quickly as possible."

The way I interpreted all news as a whole including section 1 (background) is that sir applies to apps prior to june 13, 2016, but the changes they've been making will help all apps in furture once backlog is cleared.

No because they are changing their systems and making it better for future of all apps. still waiting to hear the news of changes they promised to release in "Fall". But the operational bulletin states apps received in current inventory as of june 13, 2016 with out first stage eligibility are part of reduction efforts (special program SIR).

I'm a part of this group as well. Submitted app March 18th,2016. It says SIR for me as well. NO Right of Permanence Fee paid,no medical done yet.
