If I am right....big if... but if I am, our app should ne approved by december. Meaning we took 10mos, and she got to work for 6 of it...

Well I am relieved that I'm not a one off case with the "application received" not budging.

I really hope you get great new in December, 10months to land would be amazing precedent . As a July applicant who just missed the streamlining initiative, I'd be very grateful for 12months.

@Guyana girl we are Nov and Dec 2015 crew

There was a 2016'er who landed 2 days ago... that'd be 10 months or less! ;)

And, they plan to continue on this way until the inventory is manageable. So, everyone who feels they 'just missed it' .. by my maths, you should be seeing another document wave by end of October (which means those who "just missed it" might make the next wave). So, order GCMS notes and check your documents are complete.... you could be in the next wave...

Holy caps! ;)

Well, you can terminate the 'use of a representative'. But you have to think long and hard about whether you want your lawyer to just not handle your case any more. Personally, I think once the major issues with a case have been identified and triaged, there is no reason a person couldn't handle the rest.... but OBVIOUSLY I am not trying to CONVINCE you to terminate your relationship with your counsel...

@muusehisman try calling cic call centre and they tell you

I am thinking I am just going to sit on my fingers and not order GCMS notes until January 2017. :o Hope I can last that long.

Order December 1 2016... and please don't sit on your fingers *that* long :)

This is a bad idea... not only are the hold times terrible (if you can get a slot -- which takes away from those who really need it!), but they generally will just give you pieces of half information. You're far better to get some GCMS notes. You're entitled. Ask your lawyer to give them to you. If they can't, order some.

Your optimism is amazing; fantastic trait to have in this life!

Also, what's this bit I see about ink colour (blue vs black) on the forms?

Optimism? I consider this REALISM. If I was optimistic, all my 2016 crew would be PR's tomorrow :)

EDIT: AND myCIC wouldn't be broken!

Forms state on them that They should be typed, or in BLACK ink. If you look at the top left, just before any of the boxes, in the instructions area, it's a bold font-face.
