August 28.. so almost 2 months.

That is pretty old now. I suspect they are only spending maybe a day per case right now. So, you may have something in there regarding your PCC, and if they completed criminality or not. But I don't think they are starting full reviews until close to the time they are issuing visa's.

Did they tell you what was wrong with the initial one? Does your husband speak a language other than canuck? Eg: French Creole ?

EDIT:
Is there gaps in time, did he use black ink? There has to be something in the information that you might have over-looked that made them request it again...

Thanks Profiler.

IRCC finally resent the two e-mails we never received.

The e-mail resent the request for the two forms. I send them via FedEx to this address:
Case Processing Centre – Mississauga
2 Robert Speck Parkway, Suite 300
Mississauga, ON L4Z 1H8

The specific was that "for Schedule A (IMM5669) you must provide details for every month and year since 18 or past ten years since application was received (30/03/2016), whichever is most recent. There can be no gaps in this period of time." So husband filled it out until 30/03/2016.

Our mistake was that we had small gap.

The specific was that "for Additional Family Information (IMM5406) you must complete the required fields for all applicable family members."

We had to complete the rest of family info on a spreadsheet but we omitted the column "marital status" for spouse siblings.

Hopefully it is okay now.

The letter indicated that the deadline is within 30 days and the letter was dated October 14, 2016.

We will receive an e-mail when it is delivered.

Finally received gcms notes.. there are lots of dates but nothing significant sticks out.
@Profiler.. your theory might be valid. Note made on June 17th about being part of inventory reduction exercise.

I guess we are not part of SIR.

Should I at all be worried that my husbands application still says "application received" when I check its status online? We applied July 20th 2016. :-\

nope
We applied in january 2016 and it is still in the "received" status :-X

So I'm trying to se when we will get the passport request we originally applied at the end of February in 2015 however our application package was sent back to us twice. Finally in October of last year they received our application on the 13th. In March of this year I checked my status on the cic website and it said that they sent out a correspondence letter to us turn out the email address my husband put on the file was wrong so we had to do an email addy change this was done in May. We had applied for his work permit and his daughter as well who is in Jamaica. June 4th we received the work permit. On June 16th we got s request for his daughter to go do her medical in Jamaica from the Kingston immigration office. In July his request to go get his medical done was sent. In September the PCC request came in and Svedberg A background check.

Yesterday when I spoke with someone from cic they said they've received the PCC and background check now it's just a warning game this person said we could get land between now and the new year. Thing is I really want my daughter she's mine to spend Christmas with us this year I do hope and pray it will happen. I'm reading everyone's process and it seems with the PCC done most persons are waiting over three mths to get their landed. I really hope the process goes faster.

SIR will run in waves. They are planning to continue it in 2017. So you'll get in now that your docs are fixed up!

Right now, they are not processing in chronological order. They are only spending a small time on chronological apps. The bigger focus is churning apps out as fast as they can stamp them. They had 12000 more spots to gill (and same for 2017).

ECAS is only updated daily. MyCIC is real time. And GCMS notes are usually a couple weeks behind.

They sent it back because some forms weren't filled out. It's all inland were just playing the waiting game. We don't have a lawyer I was told with a lawyer they don't look too kindly on that.

What's ppr?

@Profiler it's a waiting game our inland is Dec 2015 what order is that and not drive ourselves cuckoo

@patientlywaiting4thalia ppr means passport request and rrpf means right for payment fee. If you gave immigration lawyer or immigration consultant it's so much better because they take care of it for us.

PPR is passport request.

You can do this without a lawyer. It's known people do. CIC is tolerant of people self filing.
