Based on what I have read, yes we are in one of the targeted groups for reduction. I am waiting to see my PA GCMS notes (they are late) to confirm that ... they drop a little note on the file that says it's targeted for SIR.

thanks profiler. Please update us later when you have a new one.

Hey all
Just wanted to share my experience travelling out of the country on OWP. I am not from a visa exempt country. I have a 10-year multiple entry visitor visa and an OWP.

I went to my home country for two weeks and came back, handed the passport with the work permit to the officer at immigration. No questions asked.
I also crossed the border to go to the US for a day. Showed the OWP to the officer. No questions asked.
Since I am working, I kept the employment offer letter handy just in case it was required.

P.S: This is my personal experience and I do not encourage/discourage travel during your application process. 'Travel at your own risk' still applies. :)

Much appreciated.

Section A: Your wife (she is the PA) fills in and signs.
Section C: You fill in (as her Representative) and sign.

Assuming you are both in Canada (you are in an inland thread, so I can only assume that's the case), they apply under privacy act and save yourself the $5. Ask for the GCMS notes from the sponsorship application, the permanent residency application, and the medical notes.

Hi Profiler, wow... thanks a lot for your quick response, much appreciated.

@ Profiler: I got a question for you, I applied with US and Indian PCC which were a bit old but they do not have any expiry date on them. I have gone back to these countries for maximum of 1 week and 1 Month respectively. But they are 1 and half years old now. CIC has not told me anything as the application is still open and under background check (App date: Jun1, 2016). Do you think I should voluntarily reapply for PCC or seat tight until CIC say anything coz I read somewhere that now a days PCC do not expire .

Thanks for your consideration :)

Better safe than sorry, right? If it will be late (probably) just advise them via CSE.

Hi,

Could anyone please guide us regarding the procedure for getting GCMS notes.Which one is better to order, the one under Access to Information Act or the one under the Privacy Act?.Also I am the sponsor , and I am sponsoring my husband ,so can I order on his behalf or does he has to order only , and both of us are in Canada itself.
Also if my husband who is the PA and also on implied status since we are yet to receive his OWP , orders it , so does he have to attach any proof of his residency in Canada ?
