Thanks everyone!!!! I am sending all my positive thoughts to everybody who is still waiting - everything will work out soon! it is only a matter of time- I think they really want to clean up the system and help everyone who is still waiting, and I guess I can be sure now that my app was pretty straight forward (and I didn't think that at the time). I will try to help out here wherever I can, maybe my case can help some of us being less stressed about it. And: pay your RPRF ahead of time, I have learned that now!

Fees paid. Thanks for the advice. Wishing you all the best in life.

I called CIC this afternoon and waited for 20 minutes then spoke to an agent. Agent that I spoke to put note on file to advise we never received the the 2 e-mails/letters. She deleted SA e-mail so that all correspondence will be sent to Sponsor. She said that they will not resend AOR2 because it is basically just an e-mail acknowledging receipt.

I told her we sent the updated forms via CSE and she indicated that we did not need to send a hard copy. I will call on Tuesday is see if the next agent I speak to says the same thing.

She said that she sees that they will be sending us some correspondence requesting something but would/could not give me details.

Well she kind of allayed my fears.

You know what I noted from the spreadsheet, quite a few people got requests for Appendix A and IMM 5406 in June 2016.

Did they change the form? Well, they have yet to send me a request for it... Now I am worried they need that from me too..... I am starting to wonder about the BG check in progress..

From all indications, that is good.

Now patiently awaiting next set of GCMS notes to see progress.

Yeah you're right. They probably monitor the forum to see how they can instill fear. It's like a hobby.

I am sure yours will be processed faster than ours. She is Russian and I have a son from a common-law relationship that might make ours slower.

“The single-most important commitment we made in the election campaign was to substantially reduce the processing time for the families,” the minister said. “We’re working right now to reduce the inventory of people waiting. We will be announcing a new system in the fall which will substantially reduce the processing time for family unification.” -Refugees and Citizenship Minister John McCallum.

Guys,

I am just in Vancouver for the weekend, checking my work emails in the rain on the street in an open wifi network (how pathetic this starts, but it gets better) and burst into tears because of course I didn't expect at all to get my invitation for my LANDING INTERVIEW while I'm on vacation, in the rain on a random street in Vancouver while checking my work emails... This is insane.

Congratulation Vaya! There hasn't been much action in the 2016 group since July when that wave of AIPs were sent out, hopefully more of us get the good news you got soon!

Congrats Vaya! We also received emails. Sponsor approval August 30. Medical also accepted. Medical was from previous work permit and expired in April. Thought for sure it would have to be re-done so nice to be able to save the $$$$. All fees paid upfront.

Hello All,

I recently got my OWP and since then I am actively looking for jobs. I was on student permit before I got my OWP. Now since I have OWP can I give my student permit (I do not want to pay $$$$$ anymore/)

Kindly help.

I've sent my Sponsorship Application on May 10th 2016 via Canada Post, application was received on May 12th. Since than i didn't here anything back,Its been 4 months and I still dont have AOR.
Is there is anyone on here that applied in May and didn't receive anything yet?
Is there is some way that I can contact immigration office?

App received with work permit by CIC on May 4 and I called CIC's automated system today and my work permit was approved. Says instructions will be sent to me regarding sending in my passport. Yay!!!
