Hi,

My husband has only been to USA for 1 night and have gone there a few times (around 4-5) and came back the same day all the times. But still we got a letter from CPC -V asking for FBI PCC.(PCC from USA) . Now because in the letter from CIC itself its mentioned that PCC is required if stayed for at least 6 months or more. So can anyone please guide us what should we do.?Should we call CIC regarding this ?? Please help!!

My application was sent to CPC M, but we have received the letter asking for FBI PCC from CPC V.

Make a case specific inquiry and explain the full details to them. or follow the instructions on how to reply stated on the email that you received.

I applied for my Wife's sponsorship on December 14, 2015
CIC recieved my application on December 21, 2015
Process for sponsorship started on February 11, 2016
Application for sponsorship approved and file sent to Delhi on Feb 18, 2016
Process for permenant residence started on February 29, 2016

All the best to everyone applying for family class sponsorship and everything else :)

For all those whose family is now in Canada after the sponsorship process,
If your sponsorship got approved, what was the date and how long did it take for your wife / family member to come to Canada?

Umm I may be wrong here..but if they sent the file to Deli..your an outland application?...this thread is all Inland (all files processed in Canada)....totally different timelines, I mean no disrespect but when Outland applicants post timelines that make processes and stages appear faster, you "contaminate" the thread for persons trying to get rough ideas of how applications are processing in general, this is why each category has their own threads. Inland is always a lot slower traditionally, so outland posting for example getting SA in 35 days, makes someone new to the thread despair as they have been waiting months for the same stage..which is actually normal.

That is...quite frankly...disgusting. One of the worst cases of processing incompetence that holds up and jeopardizes an application I have ever read.
The advice already given is the best, complete a CSE, and state your case....I would actually be tempted to also write a letter and send it in tracked and traced to the address given, enclosing a copy of the letter they sent you on top.

Applied on the 11May.

I'm confused here fella, going on your previous posts..you stated your application was accepted on January 11th and you had AIP on July the 13th, yet you only applied for a OWP on May 11th...In the nicest way possible you have probably wasted the fee as Decision made for you should be anytime, at which point the work permit is null and void....hopefully because you have PR

Thank you so much for the response! :) Yeah that is why we got so worried because they are themselves mentioning that you must have stayed for at least 6 months or more and then asking for PCC!!

But can you please also guide how to do the Case specific inuiry? Do we have to call CIC for that?

Fill in all parts of the questions asked about your application so they can link the CSE up. You get a chance to write your email once you answer the questions.

here is the link for you to the CSE section on CIC website.

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

good luck

I would still write a traditional letter as well, and send it to the address given in the letter they sent you, with a copy of their letter on top.

if you received a message in your GCkey account, do you get a notification too in your email? thanks.

We scanned the NOA and sent it via case specific enquiry and then they acknowledged receipt. (We sent the 2014 NOA with application)
