Totally agree with CDNPR2014. If we had known that it was possible to apply OUTLAND while living in Canada we would have looked at this option.

thank you for the responses..!!!
if i apply from my country it might take at least 18 months to process, and i cant stay so much time without working.. thats the only reason.

???

I hope all Jan 2016 Spousal applications who submitted OWPs get all the OWPs by 15th June, 2016 only 4 Jan 2016 persons left to receive their OWP.

Technically I have not yet received my OWP but I know it has been approved and now I am waiting for my girlfriend to be approved as a sponsor and then they will post the OWP to me. But for working purposes I have an OWP that covers me rather than implied status now. Just lacking the physical copy of the OWP

Crais84, why did you say that they have to wait for Sponsor approval before they mail OWP to you? I thought OWP came before Sponsor approval.

I am not sure why they said that to me at all as two days after I spoke to them my lawyers emailed me to say they had my OWP and then posted it to me and I received it today. It was done June 3rd and I am good for two years on it so fingers crossed by the end of the OWP I will have PR status as that is just about 26 months for them. It will have been 24 months since application so maybe they might be getting quicker by that point and approve me two months early or possibly even earlier than that

What country are you from? I highly highly recommend confirming that timeline on the forum. there are very few visa offices that actually take that long. as i stated before, if you are getting this "18 months" from the cic webite, it is NOT an average, and that number does not suggest the average time is 18 months. that number suggest 80% of applications are approved WITHIN that time, which means a large majority of applications are approved in less time than 18 months.

Let's first confirm where you are from and then we can see if that is an accurate assumption. my guess is you'd be looking at more of a 8-12 month processing time, possibly less. a large majority of applicants around the world are approved in as much or less than the amount of time it takes to get the OWP for inland.

I third this. Take a look at the April 2016 Outland timelines. Some are starting to receive COPR already. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MkgxVtUzWsPFph_rQQ_Jf1U_USZ47AD2LAqJQ1k5cmI/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0

Hi there can I be added to the spreadsheet?

Application signed for 3rd June 2016 at Mississuga

Now the 1 month plus wait for AOR

OWP applied for at same time.

OWP received today!!!!!!

app received on Jan 25
acknowledgement on March 24
OWP received on June 9

finally!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

I want to ask in receiving an AOR, is it the letter address to the Sponsor? or to the principal applicant?
Will the principal applicant's UCI number included on the AOR or just the application number?

Thank you to all of you here.

Thank you to all of you here.

The AOR (CIC Acknowledgement of Receipt) letter was e-mailed to Sponsor. It indicated the Sponsorship Approval (SA) was in process and PR (Permanent Residence Application) was received. The correspondence had both a UCI number and an application number. The UCI on the correspondence is Sponsor's UCI.
