What if she need to go out side of Canada while in land application is under process due to family reason ?

She can not to leave Canada for any reason, it is the most difficult part of the in land app.

I had a bad advisor for my application and now I have some problems ( "he told us that my wife's visa will be automatically renew with our sponsorship application")... today we got a confirmation letter from cic about sponsorship. My wife's visitor visa is expired since December 2015 ... how should we apply for her work permit or visitor restoration?...

Unfortunately you can't do anything once 90 days passed since her visa expired. That's the "grace period" during which you can apply for restoration of status. She will be eligible for an OWP after you received AIP.

Hi guys! I applied for family sponsorship in Canada and I did not know anything about OWP. Can anyone explain how does it work, is it included with the sponsorship application or should have I applied separately for work permit? Also, can I apply for it during the process if a separate application is needed?

I am getting married in Aug-16 and my spouse already have visit visa.

I am little confuse and need advise on application process.

Should i apply Inland v/s Outland ?

If i apply outland application i see lots of variable in processing of application. One of my friend`s spouse application got processed with in

3.5 months while some are still waiting since 12 months.

If i apply outland and my wife will join me once i get marry. do she need to go back to india while she is with me in canada ?

Lets say if file get process in 6 months during her stay with in canada ? Can she do her landing formalities while she is in canada ?

can we extend her say beyond 6 months while she is on visit visa ?

If I plan to apply In-Land application than how much now a days it take to get OWP ? and how much avg. time to get PR application done ?

Which is risky process In-Land v/s Out-land ?

I received my (sponsored person) AOR on Friday (June 10th) - not fully sure what this means but if anyone can tell me I'd love to hear.
And AWESOME news: I got my work permit!! App sent in Feb 19th, Work permit June 11th (Saturday, they are working overtime!)

I have no idea of my inland sponsorship application . I would really appreciate if someone will help me out .

I was not in status when i applied .

App. filed - 15 nov
app. recvd - 25 dec

On 1st june , my wife got a letter stating she is approved and eligible to sponsor .


While i got a letter stating , provide more proof of cohabiting relationship - lease , bank accnt , statuary declration etc .

I didn't have recvd any OWP yet . Anyone knows how much time it gonna take to get OWP and how much time i have to wait more for my PR .

Yay! Congratulations. Did you receive it in the mail or just saw it was approved online? OWP was approved 3rd June online but haven't physically received it so I haven't added it to the spreadsheet as yet. Maybe it will be in the mail tomorrow.

She can not to leave Canada for any reason, it is the most difficult part of the in land app.

It is recommended that you don't leave Canada until you have OWP approval. Then you may leave & come back BUT it's always dependent on the border security officers. My daughter came home (Australia) to visit before OWP approval & she was allowed re-entry only as a visitor until OWP was approved. OWP has been approved & now she is working again.

I have the same question, my Wife recieved an AOR as well last week which seems quicker than most people are getting it it seems.

Hey Sipfarms. I was also approved June 3rd but as I am using a law firm as representatives they sent the OWP to them and they received it 2 days after I rang CIC to ask them if I was approved (I rang them on 6th June) so it took them 5 days to get the OWP to my lawyers but not sure if using a representative helps speed up how quickly they get the OWP out. I now have my physical OWP as the lawyers couriered it to me the next day (9th June). If you have not received your physical OWP by the end of next week I would give them a call, Canada Post can be slow though so maybe give them another week or two.
