Hello 2016 applicants!

It seems that we already have a few Feb submissions with work permit received last week. Right on the 4 months deadline.
Anybody else is out there with OWP with February applications?
Cheers

This is great news! That means that March and Aprils OWPs will be next.

I was 5th Feb app received so I expect mine in the next week. If not I will be straight onto them on 6th June as I know they can start processing it then as it will be past the four months mark. I know it will only be 1 day past it but I don`t care. I want my work permit so I can finally leave Canada and visit home knowing I can return to work when I get back.

According to the spreadsheet, 15% of the 2016 applicants who submitted work permits with their inland sponsorhip applications, have received the OWP. [A total of 80 applications were submitted in 2016 (as of 24-May-2016) and 12 of the applicants have received their OWP.]

Also, 72.5% of the 2016 applicants have received AOR. [58 of the 80 applicants received AOR (as of 26-May-2016).]

Yay!!!!!

Waiting for my AOR. God knows when I'll receive it. CIC is so inconsistent.

Hi,

I'm new here. We sent our application March 2016 and my husband got a confirmation email May 4, 2016 saying that our application was received 2016/03/31. Today I got an email saying:

In order to continue processing your application, further information is required for the:
PRINCIPAL APPLICANT:

Specifically, you have submitted an incomplete Schedule A Background / Declaration (IMM5669)
form(s) and/or incomplete Additional Family Information (IMM5406) form(s).

For the Schedule A Background / Declaration (IMM5669) form you must provide details for every
month and year since the age of 18 or the past 10 years from the date on which your was application
received (31/03/2016), whichever is most recent. There can be no gaps in this period of time.

For the Additional Family Information (IMM5406) form you must complete the required fields for all
applicable family members.

I found the problem with the IMM5669 ( I switched the "from-to" dates....my bad) but I don't know what they want for the IMM5406 because both me and my husband filled up the form. We don't have kids yet. Do I have to fill up the form for my parents and his? They are Canadian (his family anyway).

I tried calling CIC but can't get a hold of somebody. Please help. Thanks!

this is an incredible coincidence, we are almost on the exact timeframe you listed, and also got the EXACT same form letter as you just described.... we also missed a month or two in the 10 years of history, but also had no errors or missing information in our Additional Family Information form, so wondered about that (only that we wrote N/A on the children sections, maybe we will fully spell out "Not Applicable" this time)

it is exciting that they are working on it so quickly, we are still waiting for any word on the OWP we applied for and there is no mention of it on our account when we checked the site so far

good luck!

this is an interesting piece of information. it means that they check the applications for completeness right at the beginning.

then they shelf them for a year :)

I think that I've been able to link OWP to CIC. It gives me an application number (starts with W) but says that I've applied online & the submission date is the date that I finally got it linked. Is this what everyone else found?
