Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

We put "Not Applicable" on the children sections when we submitted it before. I really don't know what they want so I'll just upload the same forms we did last time except for that minor change in IMM5669.

Does anyone know if we need to sign the forms again and scan it before uploading it online?

Looks like somebody beat me to it I check that spreadsheet multiple times a day ;D It's interesting to see that all Apr 29 got AOR on Jun 01.

At this stage, you can only link OWP and we've been finding that it only links after approx 3 1/2 months from application date. Need to use the UCI of the person applying for OWP. There other options of other combinations of information to use though if you don't have UCI #. Just make sure that you put EITHER Place of birth OR Passport Info - not both.

Obviously, leaving Canada for that short time had no affect on the OWP approval process. App date 17 Feb but I know that they made a mistake & had 10 Feb in their system. Hi ho hi ho back to work she goes..... ;D

There is an option to use Name & date of birth instead of UCI. This is to link paperbased OWP, not check status of family sponsorship application.

Just more info for people wondering about this OWP process.

Also received email saying that CIC has new info for me and then another email a little later saying that You have a new message in your MyCIC account for application no: W******* . Letter says:

Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. A secure document has
been mailed to you at the address that you provided when you made your application. If you have not received
your secure document within six weeks, contact CIC.

The letter gives Type, Validity & Document No. Already had open work permit so applied for extension so Type is Permit - WP-EXT / Permis - PT-PROR.

Not sure if this process has been because of extension of existing OWP or if it is normal process if applying for first OWP on family sponsorship.

we applied at the end of January. 4 months and a bit. By the time we receive the paper it will be 4.5 months

It's a long wait, but the happiness of receiving the work permit makes up for it. Feel happy for you!
