Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

I was just able to link the work permit application to the My CIC account. I did not use the sponsor's UCI. I chose temporary residence/work permit open & initial and used the principal applicant's name, date of birth, and passport information.

How many times did you have to try before it actually worked?

I sent my application at April 16th and got AOR(?) in email at May 26th. Is it AOR if there is new UCI and Application number in that email?

So many times I am embarrased to say. I think I tried it at least once on most days but I was mistakingly using sponsor's UCI instead of just using principle applicant's name and date of birth.

Hoping it comes by the 2nd June....not a great thing in itself but just gives an feeling of being one step closer!

Do they initimate by email or Canada post?

It is great because it is one step closer. CIC sent AOR to sponsor's e-mail.

It says that I am not authorized to take any professional courses...I am an ESL teacher and need to take a TESL Canada course to work in the majority of ESL institutes in Canada...Any advice on who I should contact/what I can do about this new development?

Lol..very similar position, have been trying to link it every few days...so the moment you switched to principle applicant's name and date of birth, it linked it or it still took a few tries?

Im sure you can study but only by taking permission, it should be mentioned in the clauses.

If the course is shorter than 6 months, than you can take it without a study permit. If it's longer, than you have to apply for a study permit. Having your work permit you can apply for a study permit within Canada, using this application:
