thank you hopefully it comes by the end of this year. I've been dealing with immigration for 10 years now. frustrating to say the least.

Since you are out of status, you cannot apply for the Work Permit until AIP stage. The normal processing time for AIP currently is 17-18 months but we have seen that CIC has sped up their process quite a bit. Some March 2016 applications are being processed right now ( which makes it 14 months) while some September 2015 have started to hear back as well ( 9 months). So the wait time could be anywhere from 9 months to 17 months depending on how CIC Processes these.

The current Liberal Government has promised faster processing times and maybe the 9 months above is a sign of that.

When can we expect the paper OWP in the mailbox ? Normally how long it takes?

Hi! How did you check MyCIC for your OWP application? I'd love to know, for some reason I can't connect my OWP application (sent with PR app) with my online account that I used for my visitor extension. Maybe a stupid question, but aren't we all clueless at times...

Scratch that. I just found it under Temporary Resident - but they didn't find anything. What now?

I already have an existing profile on MyCIC. Any updates, like AOR, OWP status etc, would automatically get updated on MyCIC or do I need to link it to any application? Since the spousal sponsorship application is a paper based application.

Congrats on the OWP. I am also a few weeks behind (app submitted 3rd Feb and received 5th Feb) so hopefully I will receive mine in less than a months time. Fingers crossed maybe in the next week or two.

As for linking applications can anyone tell me how to go about doing that? I had a MyCIC account already as previously was thinking about doing Federal Express Entry visa route. Ended up with spousal sponsorship due to job offers for my profession being hard to come by. Anyway I digress, is it possible to link my previous account to my paper spousal application? I tried already entering various different information but it did not seem to work

Another question about linking the paper application to GC account?

If the person being sponsored has a GC account can the paper applications that were acknowledged in the AOR be linked to that applicant's account or should the sponsor set up an account?

Hello guys,

I would like to ask, I've made mistake. I forgot to sign my IMM5406 and they returned my whole application. The CIC specify it.
Well i screwed up

Based on Instructions,

"Please review your application in its entirely and complete all the forms required to meet the minimum standard of completeness, once you have done so, you may resubmit the application, If it si determined to be complete submission, it when enter the processing que based on the date of it's resubmission."

All the other forms do have stamp date that they received it.

My question is,

Do i have to Do the whole thing again? make a new forms? especially the once that recently updated. IMM 1344

Does my OWP will affect on this? if i pass this one tomorrow back to CPC? considering my TRV duration of stay will end on july 2016.

You can register for a mycic account then link your owp application to it. Then you can see all the updates in your account

Im on the same boat. OWP in MyCIC changed to approved this wednesday and have been searching online to see how long it will take to get to me by mail. But have not been able to find anything.

Lets hope it does not take long.

Congrats! Today, We received a letter stating that the owp has been mailed out! You will get it very soon!

That would be great because I've tried every combination under the sun to try & create a link and I get nothing. Applied for work extension because already have an open work permit due to expire.
