Sometimes frustrating to try and live a "normal life" when it isnt exactly normal is it?
I have no worries that it will be completed, its the time frame. Its the waiting, the not knowing when it will be over, meanwhile lives are on hold, no traveling for funerals, births, weddings or other things in our families lives. Its not just our lives on hold but those around us. I missed my daughters wedding, I missed my Dads funeral. That is the nerve wracking truth.

We all understand that. It's a risk we all took. My wife was concerned for her granny's failing health. We had a visitor visa for her a that was valid until May 11 2017, and a OWP. So, if need be, she could have returned home to attend to matters. We also waited to have kids of our own, until we knew for sure they would let her stay. I am sorry you missed those events..

You'd mentioned you didn't take an OWP. Did you maintain status in Canada (TRV) after the typical 6 months granted on entry? If not, then the border traversal could be problematic, if you overstayed (ran out of status)...

Wait for letters... You're done! Landing is next!

Congrats!

Thanks Profiler....

It sounds a bit unreal. Just last week I learnt that they hadn't dusted off my my file.
And on top of that, there's been no communication from CIC at all. The only thing I noted now is that MyCIC changed to eligibility in review sometime between now and yesterday noon (no emails for MyCIC update either btw).

Case officers need a couple hours only. If there is enough evidence, they decide immediately and you find out some time later... But it's definately positive.

Let's keep the SA, AIP, and DM train rollin'!

So is there any way that I could score me some OHIP at this point? Or do I need to wait for some sort of acknowledgement from CIC?

Congratulations! Out of curiosity, when did you apply? I'm a May 6th applicant, and I'm dying to see some news on my app.

Need an AIP letter stating you are "Eligible to apply for Permanent Residence" -- despite knowing that answer, check your email tonight after 6:30 to see if they sent you that letter.

If you have an OWP, and you have been working full time, you could use that as a way to get OHIP started...

Good morning people, so we applied back in March 2016. April 25th, 2017 they requested more information regarding our relationship and 2 days ago we received email stating that they are pleased to inform that processing of my application has been completed and IRCC Etobicoke will contact us to arrange an appointment for the finalization of permanent resident application. Online status shows that decision has been made.

Now I got few questions. :)

1. Is this landing interview we are talking about?
2. What else I need to bring other then Passport?
3. Usually how long it will take for them to contact me to arrange appointment? and after that how long it will take to get actual PR card?
4. Are they going to ask questions about our relationship?

Your help will be much appreciated and I am sure my questions will bring answers not just to me but to many others :)

Good luck to you all.
Thanks

Congrats! You're basically finished!

Congrats! That's a landing interview. Totally normal. They will ask a few simple questions regarding your history only. Examples:
- Have you committed a crime in Canada or anywhere else
- Have you ever been denied entry into Canada or anywhere else
- Do you have dependents that you have not declared in Canada or anywhere

Etobicoke is variable. Sometimes it's the next week, sometimes it's several (upto 8) weeks later.

Thanks!
My timeline is:

App received: Aug 2, 2016
AOR: Aug 24, 2016
DM: today

Wow! Congrats! They've definitely skipped a few months lol. good for you though!
