Inland applicants get their CoPR (confirmation of permanent residence) at the landing interview. You will need to bring photos for this landing interview and they will be used for your PR card. They will apply for you and you will receive it in the mail about 8 weeks later.

Dear friend

Can you tell me what we need to bring for an interview if they request interview

Thank you

There are different types of interview. If you get DM, then it's a simple landing interview (everybody who has applied inland will get that one), really nothing to worry, you'll need your passport, photos for the PR card, receipt that you paid your RPRF and the sponsor will need an ID. If anything more is needed, the appointment letter will state it. Prior to DM, you could get a relationship interview (this is rather rare), but this happens when CIC is not convinced your relation is genuine. The letter will give you a list of documents to bring. And you could also get a quality assessment interview, but again any required documents would be indicated in the letter.

Yes, it is a relief, but don't worry, your turn will come. The most difficult part during the process is that we don't know at all when they will finally start to work on our application. But, do you have any doubts about the end results? You shouldn't have, so it's really just a matter of (long, sometimes not predictable, uncontrollable,...) time. But just live your normal life, don't let the process affect your everyday life.

one can always have doubts about the end results until they are truly done, it is only natural. Things do go wrong for people, it happens, it is possible, you can never be truly confident until things are in your hand finally.

Good morning people, so we applied back in March 2016. April 25th, 2017 they requested more information regarding our relationship and 2 days ago we received email stating that they are pleased to inform that processing of my application has been completed and IRCC Etobicoke will contact us to arrange an appointment for the finalization of permanent resident application. Online status shows that decision has been made.

Now I got few questions. :)

1. Is this landing interview we are talking about?
2. What else I need to bring other then Passport?
3. Usually how long it will take for them to contact me to arrange appointment? and after that how long it will take to get actual PR card?
4. Are they going to ask questions about our relationship?

Your help will be much appreciated and I am sure my questions will bring answers not just to me but to many others :)

Good luck to you all.
Thanks

Congratulations! This is your DM letter.
1. Yes, Etobicoke will contact you to give you an appointment for your landing interview.
2. The letter will list everything you need, usually passport, 2 photos for the PR card, the receipt for the RPRF, and your sponsor will need an ID.
3. Etobicoke is one of the busiest office, it often takes about 8 weeks from DM to landing interview, but some get if faster, like @carolbb23 . The PR card comes 6-8 weeks after the interview, right now on CIC website the processing time is 57 days.
4. No more questions regarding relationship, they gave you DM, so they are satisfied with the proofs you submitted.

Again, congratulations you are very close to the end!

I understand, it is in our nature to worry. But honestly, if CIC is not satisfied with what you submitted, they will give you opportunities to address their concerns. So just try, as much as possible, to live a normal life and don't let the process affect you!

You should visit Ontario... You're a 2hr jump to Hamilton from Winterpeg by WestJet. You'd be 30min from NF ON. I'd bet you'd like this area of Canada... Then you'd understand my aversion..

I will definitely check that out thanks

RPRF: right of permanent residence fee. If you paid upfront (with no dependent) the receipt would be of 1040$. If you paid RPRF separately, the receipt is 490$.

congrats who've got DM's yesterday.
i'm still waiting for my AIP letter and landing date, i dont know what's going on.

In the time I've been here, I have only read of 1 refusal. The success rate is ~95%.

Sometimes frustrating to try and live a "normal life" when it isnt exactly normal is it?
I have no worries that it will be completed, its the time frame. Its the waiting, the not knowing when it will be over, meanwhile lives are on hold, no traveling for funerals, births, weddings or other things in our families lives. Its not just our lives on hold but those around us. I missed my daughters wedding, I missed my Dads funeral. That is the nerve wracking truth.
