Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

You know, Sam, my wife's BG check is still in progress, eh... she has a landing invite, and a DM letter, but it's still in progress...

yah... they don't seem to care about updating the system. My wife's mycic status states also that they are doing background check and that they are processing her eligibility. We have DM for 6 weeks now!

They keep it open until the landing. Then they close all of that.

Wife was only 1, but had multiple Schengen wizits, and even wizits that she neglected within the FSU (Eg: Belarus, where they only ask for tickets when crossing by train from Russia)...

But..but.. why this discrimination, CEC people see realtime criminality check, my friend told me his BG check and criminality is done and voila, next day he had his passport req. This is unfair, now I wanted to go back to CEC application category :-[ :-X :'(

We had this discussion earlier...

CEC is expected to improve Canada's economy. They target these immigrants, and they "Red Carpet" or "VIP" their way in. Spousal's are more par-for-the-course. They are not expected to add (but no doubt could). And PGP (one of the slowest categories), is expected to only be a draw on the system.

If you feel that you would be able to whip up an application, and it would be approved this quickly -- do it. Otherwise, patience is a virtue...

The other country is India, ya with PhD and job exp I will definitely be eligible, but as you say I am close to the finishing line, will wait for it
