I contacted my MP via e-mail to request an update.

Which MP are you working with? It may work out good... if you can get traction inside the local CIC office.. These are assumptions, right.... but it makes sense...

It was her assistant...
My alternate means of contacting them she noted would be IRCC ( useless ..just tried and was told the call volume is too high)

Will simmer down to my original plan of waiting until Cinco de Mayo before becoming annoying and pushy ( Will in the mean time ask the MP office for a Kitchener contact number)
