If they were in the process of investigating Condition 51 violations (someone called to report a couple not living together??) Have stopped being investigated.

It won't apply to anyone who still has a case in process, as there was no Condition placed.

It is supposed to be removed for everyone. 2015 or 2017. There is another poster who lurks here who landed at Etobicoke a few days ago (Delbas maybe??) Who said they had to reprint his COPR 4x because it kept coming out with Condition 51 on it, and it shouldn't have.

the lady officer we went to say to us we are on condition 51 from this date 36 months and it's was printed on the paperwork it's and we were on the SIR program I guess each officer is different

So two things: every case was in SIR. They all are. New ones are not. SIR is backlog reduction. Which is what they're doing.

And Condition 51 is 2 years by legislation. They cannot arbitrarily extend it for any reason. The sponsorship undertaking, where you agree to support your spouse financially , is 36 months. Could it be that you're seeing?

it's OK it's done I do understand. But it's on the system and I guess the people in the booth do not know the changes we had an older woman doing our landing interview it's done yes I did agree to the 36 months that is OK because in his job they are always working they make very good money and he's with the union

on mr.carol copr it had condition 51 for 36 months and the officer explains what it meant and on the copr the program we are on was sir it's OK we are done just warning you guys who ever have landing if the officer explains condition 51 to you cause some of them do nor know the changes

Permanent Residence plus says ecase completed
We received mr.carol application for permanent residence on December 14, 2015.
Medical results have been received.
mr.carol entered Canada at Etobicoke IRCC on April 28, 2017 and became a Permanent Resident.

So the COPR may say Condition 51 and 36 mos undertaking... that's telling you 36mos you are financially responsible for him, and he has the condition that's been repealed. It won't matter because it was also retroactive. Anyone who had or has it doesn't any more.

That's the best I can figure it's telling you...
