Is this just a standard email that gets sent out regardless of whether you have already supplied the correct documentation? Should I expect something similar in the future for the medical despite already having passed that?

No. If you get a medical request, you should check with them immediately. My wife's was passed already, but because they took longer than it's validity period, they have requested we submit another one. We checked the next day, and it was correct that we were outside of the validity date. Turns out, they sent this a little late as well. We could have actually have a decision 3 weeks ago -- they have been waiting for the medical to be completed since March 22. It's all that's left for them to pass a decision.

6PM Eastern is 00:00:00 UTC. That's when CIC sends out emails en masse. So anyone who has a decision (SA, AIP, DM) tend to get them at around 6PM Eastern.

What will happen on this interview? I've read it is just a formality.
Will they issue COPR after the interview?

i dont have a valid status now and can't work until i get my pr, but i was hoping that i could start working again soon.
Can i get a new SIn right after the interview?

Yes you can get a SIN right after.

It's a simple interview where they ask a couple simple questions that are not intended to be a test, (criminal offences in Canada, have you ever been denied entry into Canada, any undeclared dependents anywhere, etc), they hand you your COPR and you're on your merry way.

I also apparently missed a call from them today. But, as I told others, they will reach other another way.

So, the letter was regarding issuing an RPRF refund....

Now, some may recall a few messages in October that stated they held the processing fees in an escrow account, and that our escrow account did not appear to be the right amount. It was over paid. The fees with RPRF is $1040, we paid what the online system asked for, $1115. The refund amount is $75.

So, reading between the lines here, and knowing they don't take the RPRF UNTIL THEY HAVE ISSUED A PR.... That's their way of saying, "DAMN GIRL, HURRY THE F*%$ UP WITH YOUR MEDICAL!"

Though, the MP did say they wanted us to hurry because they were ready to issue a decision... I suppose this is the proof? She's already passed it once, so they are pretty certain she will pass again, it's a formality..

We only got the two sets of notes. No point to continue fighting with them. My MP's office calls in routinely to ask. They call us when they do. They even told us not to check online because it will just frustrate me....
