This is why i find this request rediculous.
How do you join an individual to a government entity half the world away.
Born in the jungles of guyaneeeeee in the caribbean
Wor ked n schooled in guyaneeeeee all my life
How does a reputable organisation make such a blunder lol lol lol
How???????
Is background check being done by some computer/robut????
On what basis would this agency make this blunder?
Second question
Why would i need to send the response to some CIC OFFICE IN AB?
I WILL HAVE QUITE A FEW QUESTIONS ( SHAKE MY HEAD)
THIS IS WHY I DO POWER ENGINEERING. . WHEN BLUNDERS LIKE THAT IS MADE . . . . . LOL. . . .
THERE IS CONSEQUENCES

Sorry--don't have a lot of time to scroll comments...but if any of you got the request for a police check and you already sent it with your app....note that this happened last summer as well. You'll probably notice the letter states "IF you have not yet submitted the following documents" As well as mentioning to disregard the letter if you have already submitted the required documents.

A couple phone agents confirmed this is generic email. To be safe, you can just upload (via Case Specific Enquiry) a copy of your police check, the letter you received with a note stating the original was already sent --with your app/or however it was submitted.

Thanks CIC for confusing 100's of applicants AGAIN!! :(

Remember:
If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:

You are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.

You have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.

Am agreeing with profiler

Am just looking at the logics, if there is any

What basis do you assume (from their records) that an applicant is attached to a country or region they have never been?

Appli ation number correct
UCI NUMBER CORRECT
NAME AND ADDRESS CORRECT
AND SOME HOW AM A POLICE IN AFGANISTAN WHEN I DONT KNOW WHERE IT IS LOCATED, NEVER BEEN THERE , WORST NEVER BEEN A POLICE THERE OR ANYWHERE ELSE HAHAH HAHA

SO WHAT OTHER MIX UP TAKES PLACE AT THAT AGENCY?

WHY DID THEY NOT MAKE A MISTAKE AND GIVE ME AN EASTER LANDING APPOINTMENT? HAHA HA
I WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED THAT WITH BOTH HANDS.

POLICE OFFICER !!!

IN AFGANISTAN SMH
OF ALL THE PLACE

pls I am new to this forum,Got this message from cic It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements. Is this AIP or what??

Guyanese ?

It all boils down to this, reputable or not this system is not perfect and work is continuously in progress to improve...sh!t happens.

That being said, just call cic tomorrow and also respond with a full explanation to clear up the misunderstanding...for good measure MP can drop a word in there for you also if you feel the need.

Yes congratulations

Seriously
You can't help but make light of these situations
You would imagine these persons . . . or machines. .
Or both , who are handling sensitive information's with respect to people's lives would be professionals. I can't view it any other way. I am an electrical professional with speciality in high voltage. What would happen had I made a blunder and try to ground a high voltage conductor where people traverse????? Or what if the mechanic put coolant in the engine rather than oil? This is just unacceptable, whoever they are. So am laughing, but it really isn't funny. John Talbut green from Afghanistan???

Rightfully so to be in awe that this has actually happened..

But, this is why even when Profiler is Mathing before 11am on Tuesdays, he includes a degree of variation for hiccups and variations from factors which he can not predict nor control....today you are a +- to their accuracy.

Be sure to ring them up early tomorrow so u get an agent who is awake hopefully.
