Well, I hope so. But it's not on mycic, and my MP was told that it was not assessed yet...

When did your MP call? If it was before you ordered the notes, it is theoretically possible -- not to say it's what actually happened, though. Our MP's office called late monday to advise me they are ready to assess the application, but just have not made it there yet. Her meds and everything are accepted and approved. So, it's literally wait now.

My MP called on Feb 27th.

Carol, when I said AIP is next for you I meant for you and hubby (your hubby is the one that gets AIP).

I tend to write like we (hubby and I are one) and same when I write about you and hubby.

Sorry for confusion.

We paid everything upfront too. And our medical expires in June 2017.

it's ok we say we to or my husband or Mr. carol

Something is up there.... I assume you are in Quebec, so did you send in your CSQ? Is there dependents that they are waiting for medicals from? There is very little that should have triggered a delay...

Who, me? The missus has been here full time since September 2015.... we just don't think about it anymore. For us, it's basically a formality now. We will get there soon enough. We haven't seen any movement yet, but Carol was in the way. I am sure there will be something soon. Maybe on the birthday...

Speaking of which, we decided that we should do something big for the birthday. So, we are heading into the big smoke this weekend for some fun.

nice and romantic just the two of you

@Profiler: You mentioned yesterday or day before, that they usually send you document request (if they need any) ~2 months before the start of their application processing. Did you mean initial processing (Initial meaning post AOR) or final processing (Before SA and AIP)? I am June, 01 applicant, but did not see any req yet (could only be one of the PCCs as med is done). I was wondering if I should prepare to get a new PCC in case they ask and I can send them right away. BTW I got new PCC one of my resident countries while the other one will take ~ 2 weeks from my application.

Thanks
Sam

Yes from Quebec City in fact. We got CSQ in early September 2016. No dependents. There is no logical reason for the delay, but look on the spreadsheet, we are 5 that applied on August 12th 2015 that did not get processed yet. There are few bunches here and there on the spreadsheet, I think in April and December (sorry for the lack of precision, just using my phone tonight, we are among the 35000 home without electricity since yesterday due to the storm). So... no logical reason for the delay, but nothing we can do and even my MP couldn't do anything yet.

The way they seem to be working document requests after AOR, is, when they are getting ready to process the case, they will request with a 30 day "submit before". But you can request an extension on that. So, typically they will request 60 days before, to give you 30 days extension if you have a decent reason to ask.

Well, first off, stay warm and safe. I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything that was outstanding. Did you try to meet with your MP? I know CIC will hide behind the 26 month shield, but I think they can push a little harder than they have been...That said, that could potentially cause anger from the CIC and might cause more trouble than good...

Yes we met twice with the MP staff, but they are also told that we did not reach 26 months, so that we should wait.

First: You have to think positive about it. Once she has it, pretty much no one (sans a court) can take it away. So, it's worth the time (even though it might not seem like it now). Deal with each little problem as it comes.

Now, I have two questions that might or might not help steer your direction:
(1) Can she apply to the Uni before the process is complete? They surely won't be sending out acceptance letters before June/July. That said, must she prove status in her Uni app? I know when I went to school, they only asked for proof when it came to signing my student loan. She can probably get the process started. It does carry the risk, that, if she doesn't complete the PR before start of school, she'd be on the hook for the international student rate (yeah, I know it's a big risk -- but calculated -- like poker :) ). This is something you might want to run by the intake personnel at the Uni's enrollment office.

(2) Have you considered applying for a student wisa? As a stop-gap, so she can still apply now, and commute her status later?

unfortunately the program she is waiting for will not accept international students at all, and we asked them about whether we could apply ahead of pending PR approval in expectation of getting it and they said no, all prerequisites and requirements are necessary and due before the application deadline..... good advice though in many other situations, but unfortunately not in our situation, we are pretty much resigned to waiting until September 2018 for her to continue unfortunately, if a miracle happens and we get PR in time then it will be a great thing, but we are not holding our breath hoping
