Yes. My MyCIC shows in process for eligibilty....and my sponsor was just approved. But ecas still shows app received for me. Decision made for my husband the sponsorLashen said:Just a quick question. Your Ecas stayed application received, is your application in progrèss à now?
Same! Still app received for pr application, and decision made for sponsor application. I heard from a few people that their status changed from app received to in progress, but still only app received on our end.simpsol22 said:Yes. So i just applied for an extension to my husbands OWP ( Expires May, with his passport that has been been replaced since we filed)
I cut it a bit close in terms of time and hope it comes like it did the last time, which was in 3.5 months.
You have some options, you either pay that 255 now, apply and call it a "peace of mind just incase" fee so he can keep working in the event it takes a while to come or you don't land by then, or you can cross your fingers you get landed by then....
I have a feeling you might land before then...then again i have feelings about a lot of things... :-X

Do you think I need to give an update to CIC on that? Does having a job Vs no job makes any difference for the SA? If yes how should I update them? CSE?
Thanks
Sam

My wife's (sponsor's) Ecas showed application in process and for PR - application received. When I checked my ecas, I can't see my sponsor's status, but my showed medical received; we sent you a correspondence on January 23.........if you have not received it yet, please wait still you get. I actually did not reeceive any email from them. Besides, MyCIC account showed case opened. Medical passed. Nothing else. Can anyone advise me what's going on?simpsol22 said:Yes. Nope. Not at all. It's so frustrating.. More than 4 months..hermionebr said:Any news?
I am just curious. Do they always have to approve the sponsor before they start processing the principal applicant PR application or takes place simultaneously?browning911 said:In My CIC mine shows
Application Status: Open
Review of Eligibility: Not Started
Review of Medical Results: Passed
Review of Submitted Documents:
A Background Check is Needed: In Progress

Permanent Residence Application: Application Received
Yes...sponsor is always reviewed first....but often people hear approvals at the same time. But not always.Lashen said:I am just curious. Do they always have to approve the sponsor before they start processing the principal applicant PR application or takes place simultaneously?
Having a job doesn't affect sponsorship...since no social assistance was being collected (only ei). It wouldnt hurt to update though. You can send a CSE. Congrats to her on the job.Sam8119 said:@Profiler: So, I got a question for you after a long time. Yeah, we did. But as you know, call center agent can't make any decisions or process faster anyway..RaviJ said:Hi , did u try calling CIC.. my app was received on Sept 30..and i havent received mine as yet...its worrying to see you havent received yours as yet
