Haha, I didn't get to see the rant before you deleted it. Shame.profiler said:EDIT: I will remove my rant here.
Some people are now reporting email 'clumping'. 2 notices same day from CIC (with SA or AIP, and others with AIP, DM, and a third case was DM and 'Hey come to Calgary two days ago').

Yeah, I am getting the feeling that is how it is going to be for a lot of us with the 'clumping'
It will certainly add to cohabitation proof.Chasingthestarts said:Just wondering, to CIC, if having a joint bank account indicates a stronger and more genuine common-law relationship that will help in getting a positive result on their applications more than those couples who don't have.
that's a good sign, at least some movement in November so far..profiler said:Interesting to note, that SJ (if they are forum member; congrats!) is showing a DM. That applicant got an AOR April 20, and a document request June 17.
Just before polarvolcano, and on the same day as matthars.
SJ was on my 'to stalk' list as an applicant with a document request on June 17th.
You will be granted the OWP if they do not return your application.smavg said:Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and glad to find people in similar situations!
I sent my OWP and PR application on 1 Nov 2016 to the Mississauga office. My status is a Temporary Resident with 2 years multiple visa. I have been in Vancouver with my husband who is a PR from 25 Sep 2016.
I have two questions in regards to the application:
- If granted the OWP, what is going to be my status in Canada? Is my status going to be a legal worker or still as a Temporary Resident?
- Relating to the above question... I am supposed to come to the UK in May 2017. I understand that the Canadian border agency may refuse my re-entry to Canada. In order to avoid overstaying in Canada, my husband and I plan to go to the US in March 2017 and re-enter Canada (hopefully by that time the OWP is granted). If at that time of travel I have an OWP, would it be less of a reason to deny re-entry? If I haven't had the OWP yet, would declaring that I am on the process of applying a PR application be more of a help? I have heard differing opinions, some people told me to never declare that I am applying for a PR and just declare myself as a tourist.
Thank you for any advice!
The terminology 'Temporary Foreign Worker' implies that it is part of the TFW program, which doesn't issue an OWP but rather a permit tied to a specific employer. In this person's case, they status is 'Worker'.profiler said:You will be granted the OWP if they do not return your application.
You will be a Temporary Foreign Worker (status).
And you will have the OWP by March. Even if you don't (very UNLIKELY), you have implied status until they answer.
So, no overstaying for you . Always tell CBSA the truth (they use the same case management system CIC does -- they can see already you have a PR app in). Bring a copy of it.
Looks like they are working on your case. Any doc requests?Gabrielhca said:Hey everybody , first of all, thank you for the tips how to link my application... after hit the space in my city info, finally work.
