With layers of skirts and capes and scarves, cause this morning when I woke up there was frost on every car in the driveway !!!

And the husband wants to be Breaking Bad Heisenberg...
Careful, you're in Canada now, which can be hyper-sensitive about cultural appropriation.
That costume can potentially get you in trouble in the same way that wearing a native headdress can. I know it sounds ridiculous, but this is the society we live in.

What about cultural mosaic vs melting pot?!
And I've seen sugar skull face stickers at the dollar store too - of course not as good as I can do it :p - so apparently they are in demand around here. Anyway, I live in one of those neighbourhoods where everybody knows everybody so I don;t worry about the outfit. It's either that or Kill Bill/ The Game of Death!

Most people who grew up here wouldn't care. That's the reality. The problem is, we have grown to be more accepting of others, and that's where tension could arise. I know I have had to correct my wife a few times (not in public obviously), but in Moscow it's OK to say some things -- including some not so nice racial slurs -- so I think that's where the cautioning from polarvolcano came from. Just to be careful and know your audience..

I am sure you'll be fine with the costume you selected.

I really thought October would be the month I would finally hear some follow-up on the application...but it appears that not many moved on this month.

That might explain it. If we assume you are in SIR, then you could be considered lower priority because you haven't done your medical. The made clear mention of their priority: avoid expiring medical and passports.

That said, I am not totally convinced that you won't see activity soon.

But it appears that no one else is really moving either though.

I am going to have to disagree with you here. Here is why:

- If you visit: http://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/53105221-7652-47b1-96e2-1f85715a067c and pull down the spreadsheet you will see the following number in Cell J34 (Inland Inventory in Persons as of June 2016): 34,730.

- If you look at the spreadsheet for inlanders, you will note that there is: 244 (2016) + 472 (2015) and that includes all those who have landed (so the numbers are skewed in favour of "us" here). That is 716 cases that we have visibility to.

- 716 / 34,730 = 0.020616... or ~2.06%.

You cannot say that "no one else is really moving" as there is ~98% of the inventory that just might be. Right? Unfortunately, we cannot see the others. I was considering advocacy to try to build the numbers up so the visibility would be better, but I am not sure I have the time (or motivation) for such an undertaking.

Oh, I thought you were ... anyway..

I totally agree that no news is painful, but in CIC land, that's the best kind. So I had a quick look (since June, in 2016 sheet):
- Brgrcy (DM, but no landing date)
- Arkay (landed)
- chelsea23h (DM, but no landing date)
- sipfarms (DM, lands Wednesday)
- vaya (landed)
- SJ (DM but no landing date)
- Ariane T-M (landed)
- PETALPOP (landed)
- ImmiGeek (landed)
- fek87 (landed)
- sheisoptimistic (landed)

AIP's (since June 2016):
- Deep
- Mgrcabosura
- mia1588
- sofiabaustin
- Cathy
- dimigago
- jcooper
- Libny Gonzalez
- Que
- ImmNM
- esil
- celkin
- Forsagar
- nctj
- geeti
- German97
- heresunnybunny
- georgexu
- mnimmigrant2016
- Tité Tine

So, it feels like no progress, but there is progress. For people who got AIP's, they are not likely to be in SIR, so you may still see movement for them. For SIR cases, you could very well go from AOR to Landing in a day. Just wake up one morning to a landing interview request, or a PPR. They appear to be bypassing the SA, AIP, DM steps.

2% is a very high sampling rate.....
they use way smaller samples to call national elections :)

therefore I would say if we see no move on this forum, then there is no move on any of the 2016 files...

cheers
