Question, landing scheduled for October 24 might have to go to the States early in November, less than a week in duration, related to work, is that an issue in terms of timing with regards to any documents i need to have.

Currently in Canada on the spousal sponsorship work permit, working for a Canadian company.
You are fine as long as you drive across the border. You won't be able to fly. You can drive across the border and then fly, though.

Canada’s entry requirements are changing
Permanent residents (PR) of Canada must carry and present their valid PR card or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) when boarding a flight to Canada, or travelling to Canada on any other commercial carrier. If you do not carry your PR card or PRTD, you may not be able to board your flight, train, bus or boat to Canada.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your PR card is still valid when you return from travel outside Canada, and to apply for a new PR card when your current card expires.

Returning by private vehicle
There are other documents you can use to enter the country.

When you return to Canada, apply for a PR card if you plan to travel outside Canada again.

Some examples of private vehicles include, but are not limited to: a car, truck, motorcycle, or recreational vehicle that you own, borrow, or rent. It is a vehicle not available for public use.

They do not specify that you can use your COPR letter. I have to do some more research about it. Does anyone had similar situation or knows something more?
As I suggested before, it would not be a typical crossing. I cannot say I have done this (or know of anyone who has). The CBSA at land borders also help outlanders by finishing the filling out of the COPR paperwork, and they are then granted entry. Inlanders fill it out with CIC at a local office. Usually you don't use this to try to enter. But entering at a land crossing, with a valid passport and your COPR, they can look it up to make sure it is legit. You can explain the situation, and hope they permit you entry. As a PR, you do have a right to enter.

My wife left shortly after getting her PR Card. When she returned, it was only the air line who examined the card. CBSA didn't. They even helped her fill out an incomplete declaration card.

Hello everyone. I received an email and update in my cic today and it's for my owp.
I think they made a mistake because the issued date and expiry date is the same. Anybody knows who to call? I tried cic earlier but they're busy. Thanks so much!

No, you are not. That's a very good information because I dint realize I have to apply for travel document from outside the country. Thought it could be done from the inside before I travel. Do you have any suggestion of where to visit? Bahamas ranks very high on my list at this point....
Bahamas or st lucia

I applied inland to Mississauga office in Aug 2016. Aug 23, 2017 received a letter from cic asking for cohabitation evidence. On Aug 25, 2017 received SA. I haven't received AIP yet, but from what I can see It only takes few days to get AIP after SA Anyone knows what's going on?
Thanks in advance

AIP comes when they are convinced you are cohabiting and in a genuine relationship. As they asked you for cohabitation evidence, this is why you haven't received AIP. Add 45-60 days to the date you sent your cohabitation evidences, this is when I would expect you to receive AIP.

I think you have no choice but to persist in trying to call CIC. It's not easy to get a line.
