hahaha. the conflict is out of the way. It's on the south east island, our's is on the west side island and there's a big ocean in between. Direct 1hr flight from the capital. =)

Okay according to Travel and Leisure, Saint Lucia is in the top 15 islands in Caribbean and they lumped Bahamas and Bermuda there too but Bahamas and Bermuda are not in the Caribbean. They are in the Atlantic Ocean completely.

Or you can just come to Saint Lucia. 4.5 hours direct flight. You leave at 9:30 a.m. and you are in paradise by 3:00 p.m.

I understand. It's totally different from the news compared on what's happening on the ground there. It was sad what happened to that canadian last year in the island of mindanao (That's where the conflict is now).

I want to visit Mexico too -- but won't for the same reason. In the Philippines, South Africa, Mexico, etc, western travelers are frequently held for ransom, robbed, or worse. Those two were abducted with a Norwegian from a resort! So, I will wait until they get the ISIS out.
