Hello guys..yes you need it from eveey country toi lived, since you were 18, in my case i lived in 3 different countrys, but i didnt sent my police checks when i sent my application cus in some.of them you need to wait for instructions, for example in mexico you need the embassy letter to get it and you need to wait until embassy contact you cus that police check is only good for like a month, the usa one in the other hand you can request it and send it with ur application but is only good for 12 months so if ur application takes longer they will request for a new one so if u guys lived in usa after the age of 18 get that fbi clerance asap cus it takes 3 months to get the results with them, thats one of the things that cause delay in my application when i reached the 8 months waiting period i decided to check the fbi and i found out that waiting period i went nuts, so i send the fingerprints, i got interviewed in september and after that is the security part and of course if i had all my police checks ready that was it is only like one months period since they check in the canadian databaseand thats it, but mine came in october..the colombian only take 72 hours...amazing and the mexican took 1 month, i was lucky must ppl oitside mexico said takes around 3 months too like usa..so you guys if you already sent ur applications 7 months ago i will recomend to send ur fingerprints to fbi asap that way when cic asks for the police checks from usa you guys can send that right away, the colombian one you need to swnd your application number and pay in banco popular and send the company the copy via email, they send the reaults in 72 hours straight to embassy...ok guys if you have more quwstions let me know, good luck

Thank you Pau for your help God bless you by the way can you share with us your timeline

Hi Liaa ,
were you requested by the Visa Office to provide the RCMP criminal record ? in the guide it say to wait until they request it !
depends on the country ypu can provide your police records when you sent tour application package, like i said if you livrd in the states you can do that, or wait until the request them, ppl are sending there apps sometimes without that cus the security part is the last step and since is only good for a year they rather send it when is request it in case expires, and start processing in the middle of the process so when they request it ypu have it ready, colombian one you cant tou need to wait for them to request it just like mexican one and some other countrys, is better to follow instructions but always keep in mind that still a process, check the timeline for the police check of the countrys you lived in, becouse you can have a surprise, so its better you can organize yourself, also processings are different sometimes if you are outside the country, check that too guys, like i said before i was so happy cus in.mexico only takes 1 week or 10 days to get the pgr or datos registrales, but i was outside mexico and the process is completly different, so is just an advise, this can cause you delays or just frustration, so at least you know how long is really gonna take, in this process you need a lot of patience..... ok guys good luck and chin up! This will be over soon hopefully

The RCMP I think its valid for 6 months or 1 year like the medicals. You have to get your ink fingerprints taken in your home country and send it to company that will then digitize them and get the police record from you. That is how I did mine.

Lia sorry for asking you but how much did you paid to get your RCMP

I think it's about 80 dollars if you want it mailed within Canada. And I believe 180 if the results have to be mailed elsewhere. I can't remember now but it's around there. We got all that done before we submitted out app so the records went to my husband in Toronto, and he mailed it all out to Mississauga to start the process...

Hello Everyone.

Just trying to get a little information as per delay of applications.

I am Canadien born i live in the province of QUEBEC. And my wife is colombian (no kids) (married in november of 2015 in colombia).

We sent are application at the end of january 2016, AOR1 received in begining of march AOR2 received in April 5th 2016.

WE also received the Quebec immigration paper for her stating that it was accepted and that they sent correspondance to Bogota office.

Medical was sent with original application in January 2016. Police verification was sent begining of mai 2016 after we received the file and UIC nnumber for her.

I can verifiy the site it says IN PROCESS and that they sent me AOR2 in april but thats it.

Does anyone know of the length to wait after AOR2 in general for Bogota to advise that you send your passport in ?

Hello hillcat!

I am October applicant from Bogota and I have been requested for documents and pictures For permanent resident.

I am waiting for my police check from Australia because I was living there and it has been two month since I requested. Anyways, Bogota VO have been quick to review the file. I got my AOR2 in January.

I don't know how long they will take after I send the police check.

I hope it won't be too long.

If you have news, you let us know ;)

Catherine

Hello Catherine,

Did they ask after you received your AOR2 the picture and document, Are those document you had forgot to send in ?

Hello hillcat,
I'm February applicant, I just noticed you received your AOR2 the same day as I did, haven't heard from them ever since.
There is another forum in which some of us who have Bogota as a VO and are still going through the process have joined,
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/sponsorship-through-bogota-20152016-t405153.0.html
There's more information in it if you want to look at it.
