I'm not to happy about this trend for the average number of days it takes to be approved as a sponsor:

2013
Aug 24 days
Oct 28 days
Nov 30 days
Dec 32 days

2014
Feb 36 days
Mar 39 days
Apr 59 days
May 61 days
Jun 56 days

What the heck happened from March 2014 to April 2014??? This is a 100% increase in the number of days to simply approve a sponsor in one year!

I wouldn't be too concerned about the length of time to receive SA. The processing times after that have dropped significantly. It took 2mths for me to receive SA but my U.S. husband was approved one month later

That extra one month delays the package being shipped to the VO.

I still scratch my head about Ottawa's posted 15 month processing time. I think being married and from the US cut your time down a lot.

Unfortunately, every month counts...work permit expires in March... :'(

even though ottawa is listed at 15 months, this isn't a true indicator of TODAY'S processing. right now us citizens are getting approved in 3-6 months.

it's important to remember a couple of things here:
1) it is common for the processing time to fluctuate monthly because it is dependant on the number of applications CIC receives, and some months they receive more applications than other months
2) the posted processing times are reflective of when there was an agency wide strike and office closures, so it's only natural the process would have taken longer during that time

i'm not sure what looking at past trends does for anyone, they are in the past, and can't be changed. it's much better to focus on the trends seen TODAY and this forum certainly gives a more accurate picture than anything posted on the website. the website's stats have not been updated in a while.

Mississauga processing times were hovering around 90 days back sometime in 2012 (or maybe it was 2011?). They do regularly go up and down. Unfortunately that's normal.

Well since I will be around here for the next few months until this PR is approved, I will keep an eye on things and report back accordingly ;D

Singapore has a posted 30 month processing time, but I've seen a few people already look like they're on track to get their visa by the 8-10 month mark. Don't rely on the average # of days.

Hello. Just curious, as my US wife will be applying for her PR soon: Did it really take your husband three months total to get his PR? I am hoping beyond hpe that your timeline is accurate, as we are getting nervous about getting my wife's PR in time for next year's school year.

yeah, right now the timelines for US outland applicants is unreal. People are getting COPR in under 4 months from the date the application is filed. It sounds like they are fast tracking US citizens with no red flags.

As a US citizen who has been living in Australia for the past 7 years I had the choice of visa office... Sydney times at that point were looking great, but at this point no one in this forum has gotten their COPR for the past 6 weeks from the Sydney VO.

I am kicking myself a bit, but ah well so it goes.
