My situation: I am a Canadian citizen currently living and working in the USA ...I have been divorced from my American husband since March 22, 2010 ...My UK spouse and I got married in Niagara Falls, NY on July 21, 2010 and I am moving back to Canada at the beginning of October where we are going to be starting an out land immigration application for PR for my UK spouse ...

I have some questions on the sponsorship application ...On the Application to Sponsor and Undertaking under Section A Sponsor, question 1 it asks for my full name before my marriage to my new UK spouse ...Im not sure whether to put my maiden name or the last name of my ex husband that i was using (i didn't change back to my maiden name after our divorce) ..

and on question 9 im asked about the from and to dates of my previous marriage ..Should the "to" date be the date we separated or the date we got divorced?

In Section C, question 6 ...My spouse is currently in the UK, so this is an out land Canada Class, so, from what im reading, im assuming i am required to answer b) and c) ...It asks "If the above address is not the country of nationality of the person you are sponsoring, has that person been lawfully admitted for a period of one year in the country where he or she is living?" ...The address I entered IS the country of nationality, so im not sure whether to answer NO -> The application will be processed at the visa office responsible for the country of which the person you are sponsoring is a national or YES -> Answer c) below ... It seems this question wouldn't be applicable if im reading it correctly ..

And on the Sponsorship Evaluation Section, question 3 it asks about my net personal income ...Im going to be moving back into Canada and will be quitting my job in the USA so i wont have a personal income until i get a job ...I do have a savings of about $7000 and will be staying with my cousin until i find a job and move into my own apartment ...So, do i just enter $0?

On question 5 A) Current undertaking ..Do I include my spouse , whom as you know is still in the UK or do I add him under question 6 D)?

Im sorry for all the questions ..I just want to make sure i do this right the first time ...any help would be greatly appreciated ...

Thanks in advance ..Brenda

Put down whatever your legal family name was before marrying your current husband.

The date you got divorced.

Since your husband IS in his country of nationality, the question doesn't apply to you. Leave it blank.

You write your income for the 12 months preceding the date of your application. Putting 0 would not be accurate since you had an income in the past year.

On question 5 A) Current undertaking ..Do I include my spouse , whom as you know is still in the UK or do I add him under question 6 D)?

You include him in question 5. He is the person that you are currently undertaking to sponsor.

Im sorry for all the questions ..I just want to make sure i do this right the first time ...any help would be greatly appreciated ...
