Dont loose hope... I am exactly in the same situation as you are. Even i ordered notes and there wasnt a single thing done by that time. So i suggest you to visit your husband or plan a vacation together. That would atleast help you get out of these worries for a bit. Rest we can all just pray.
I did and I sent the proof to islmabad .that time my case was still there now we have our our baby too . I also sent them my medical note now I would send my son's birth certificate but I don't have any hope I'm just tired of it may b I visit my husband in march coz my baby is so small right now

how can we find out if interview is required or not

or what are the chances of interview after remed

they have requested the copies of your passport pages in order to increase the validity of your medical by verifying and checking the countries of visit after the date of last medical....

Hey guys,

I just got an email from LDNimmigration (at) international.gc.ca.

From the email:
"Please submit a copy of all of your sponsor's passports including all pages with entry/exit stamps on them."

In this case I am sponsoring my wife who is from Pakistan. So are they asking for My passport photocopies or my spouse's.

I just want to be clear. Thanks.

PS the email is directed to "Dear applicant" which I assume is my spouse.

I just want to double check everything as these cases are very sensitive and I want to PERFECTLY understand it.

Thanks

Hello
Mostly it happens when CIC doubts that sponsor is not living in CA after sponsorship approval.

They have asked for sponsor's passport copies not the applicant's. Medical validity has nothing to do with number of countries visited. If it has they would have asked for applicant's passport not the sponsor's. They just wants to see if the sponsor is staying in canada or for how long he stayed outside canada.

'luccimane' specifically mentioned in their post "PS the email is directed to "Dear applicant" which I assume is my spouse." which means the applicant's passport is being requested, not the sponsor because once stage 1 approval is complete (sponsor stage) they don't care where the sponsor resides and barely request any information pertaining to the sponsor ... that's the whole purpose of stage 1 before they send the file to Islamabad/London for stage 2 processing.

Salam Omni,

it's specifically asked for Sponsor's Passport copies per this statement: "Please submit a copy of all of your sponsor's passports including all pages with entry/exit stamps on them."

Sponsor = Person from Canada sponsoring their spouse.
Applicant = Person being sponsored to come to Canada.

But CIC do make mistakes too, so if it was me I would send both the Applicant & Sponsor's Passport photocopies including all pages with entry/exit stamps on them.

Walikumsalam, yes you are correct. I just re-read the post by 'luccimane' and saw it is indeed addressed to the applicant requesting sponsor's info. Sorry about that.

I have heard that ordering notes does not hinder the process of the application. How come? Don't they have to pull out the file in order to provide you with notes? I want to order notes too but concerned that it may affect the speed of the process. Please elaborate on how they send notes from their end.

That is because there's a separate office for ATIP requests within all federal government agencies. I work for the feds and I personally have worked with ATIP requests and it does not hinder the processing of the files because the physical file is never in the queue but simply kept in storage (very much like our paper files sitting in Ottawa); it is only the electronic files which we work on and they are based on due dates or commonly known as bring forward dates.

This means you can order notes because it never hinders the processing speed of the file. The only thing it may end up doing is backlogging the CIC's ATIP office and they will send you email after 30 days of your request that they need another 30 - 60 day extension (which they can legally speaking) due to excessive requests pouring in their office or because some info. is not in the local office and they require liaison with other regional / international offices.

No worries, it was an honest mistake :)

what would cause them to doubt that?

IDK but since I read people cases here so CIC's doubt is correct in more than 80% cases
