Ive tried to find the answer to this...nobody seems to know...ive heard things like 2 weeks to 3 months.

Our Pakistani workers are extremely lazy and take their time :)

I hear that!!! Salute their laziness!

got the passport request on nov 21, passport has reached islamabad for visa stamping on nov 24

how long does it take to receive the passport back from islamabad....?

the email from london mentions to contact them if the passport isnt back within 30 days..

what is everyone's experience been with regards to this

thanks!

All depends on Pakistani workers. Some people get it back in a week and some people have been waiting months! All luck! But I would contact them if it hasn't been received by you in 4-6 weeks. How long after sending you re-medical did you get this ppr2 request?

I've added you for now, but I'm confused by your dates. When you received your sponsor approval on 8 Jan, did the letter/email say the file was being transferred DIRECTLY to London, or did it go to Islamabad first, and then was forwarded to London? You are not clear in this message, I would have expected it to have gone directly to London after SA, not a month later. Please verify.

For anyone reading, we are only adding Pakistani applicants to the spreadsheet whose applications have gone DIRECTLY from Mississauga to London, NOT via Islamabad. This gives us a more accurate processing time for London applications. Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion! SA was done on Jan 8, 2014. The letter (dated Jan 23, 2014) which I received after Sponsor Approval indicated the file was being sent DIRECTLY to London. However, when I ordered notes a few months later, I found out that the actual date of transfer to LVO was Feb 24, 2014...not sure why there was a delay... Hope this clears it up.

Hey guys,

I just got an email from LDNimmigration (at) international.gc.ca.

From the email:
"Please submit a copy of all of your sponsor's passports including all pages with entry/exit stamps on them."

In this case I am sponsoring my wife who is from Pakistan. So are they asking for My passport photocopies or my spouse's.

I just want to be clear. Thanks.

PS the email is directed to "Dear applicant" which I assume is my spouse.

I just want to double check everything as these cases are very sensitive and I want to PERFECTLY understand it.

Thanks

It seems that the email is directed to the applicant (your wife) and they want the sponsor's (your) passport's copies.
Do you have any idea why they would be asking for this? I presume this is to see if you have visited your wife as part of an on-going relation.

That's the first time Ive heard them asking for the sponspors passport. Did they call you for a medical ?

hi
I guess that could be the reason
My wife was also asked for my passport when we had our interview and they took my( Sponsor) passport to validate information

Since they included the words 'entry/exit stamps' I would assume they are running background/document checks.

... or it may be a PPR1 with the background check in disguise.

Yes, you will need to send your copies as you are the sponsor.

My file was transferred in Feb 2014 to LVO from ISB. I received my original documents back within a month of transfer to LVO (i.e in March). Then, in July, I sent some more pictures/Docs of my follow up visit to Pakistan. I also received those original back within a month (in August). However, I have not heard anything from the LVO at all i.e. about the paperwork or any further documentation required. If all the paperwork is fine then I dont understand why is it taking so long. I emailed LVO twice in the past month or so to know the status and I have not received any response yet. Any guesses whats going on????

Hmm I never received any documents back, maybe because I sent photocopies of the original except medical and police certificate. My file went straight to LVO in January 2014 and my husband got re-medical request November 3rd. Don't worry inshaAllah you will get re-medical request soon. Plus about updating status on Ecas they sometimes don't do it. As mines still only shows application received and nothing else. Good luck! Make dua! :)

Dont loose hope... I am exactly in the same situation as you are. Even i ordered notes and there wasnt a single thing done by that time. So i suggest you to visit your husband or plan a vacation together. That would atleast help you get out of these worries for a bit. Rest we can all just pray.
