Hello,

I'm a little hazy on the requirements to be approved as a sponsor and want to make sure everything goes smoothly.
My partner and I met travelling and have been travelling for the duration of our relationship, as such we have had minimal income. We are both financially stable we haven't been stationary for long enough for him to have a steady job. What exactly will he need to provide as far as proof of financial stability?

Thank you for your help.

You'll be OK. No minimum income is necessary to sponsor a spouse or partner.
The visa officer wants to see that the two of you can support yourselves, however. So include a plan of what you will be doing once you both get to Canada: where you will live, what jobs you hope to get, etc. Any proof you have of this would be great. You could get a letter or affidavit from any relatives willing to give you a place to stay until you both get jobs, for example. T
