Sponsorship of dependent child in Canada

Hello

I have landed few days back with my family and my son who was born in India came on visitor visa , so need to find out how to apply for his PR.

Links I saw were mostly pointing to spousal sponsorship.. So if anyone went through the process and share some idea and links, it would be a great help.

Is there some application for inland child sponsorship, as my son is already in Canada on TRV.

Or I will have to do outland application only?

There is no inland option to sponsor a dependent child. It's fine to apply outland while he is in Canada.

If the TRV is refused, the next step is to try applying for a TRP (temporary resident permit). Good luck.

Yes - if you apply and leave, you should expect the application to be refused. Successful sponsorship requires you, as the sponsor, to be living in Canada.

When exactly was he born? Did you know about him when you were filing out the forms?

He may be ineligible for permanent residence if you never declared him as a dependent.

He was born in India, after I completed my Landing when my wife was pregnant. We had our PR cards, first attempt of TRV was rejected but second was approved when I applied with papers and my job offer.

Does this mean that we just need to send the papers to our original visa office (i.e Manila) to apply for sponsorship of a dependent child who is already in Canada on a TRV?

Will it be the same forms for an adopted child?

Hello

I have applied for my son's sponsorship, I mailed the application to cpc mississauga, sponsorship was approved, now application has moved to NDVO for PR.

Just keeping my hopes up.
