Sponsorship - Letter from family

Hello everyone!
I have a quick question. My parents wrote a letter for my sponsorship application. They wrote it in Spanish (because they don't speak English)and I did the English version. They print and sign the Spanish one. Is ok if I just attached the English version? Or do they need to take it to a certified translator ?

P.D: I'm doing the common law application, and my partner is my sponsor.

I think that you don't need letters from family anymore.
If anybody can clarify or prove me wrong please do because I would hate to give you the wrong advice, but from what I can see with the new changes to the application, it no longer asks for letters from family anymore.
Obviously it can't hurt though, so I would still send it in, with your translation

Good luck!

That should be fine. Notarizing family letters is not required.

Letters from family are listed as one of the choices for proof on the checklist.

Do I jus put the one in Spanish that they sign and the English one (translate for me) in the bank? Should they sign that one too? I'm not a certified translator or anything though.

That's fine. Informal proofs don't need official translation.

Ok great thanks for clarifying! Just to be clear, you still need letters, but they no longer need to be notorized, is this correct?
For Commonlaw aswell?
Thanks! ;D

No, you don't NEED letters. As per the checklist, the letters are one type of proof you can submit.

There has never been any requirement for married couples to submit notarized letters. Under the old application, common-law couples were required to submit 2 notarized letters but that requirement was eliminated with the new app.

The choice on whether to notarize letters is personal and really depends on what other proofs a person has.
