While filling out the Sponsorship Evaluation Form - IMM5481E, I am trying to enter in my occupation/position but I don't have enough space. What should I do? Any suggestions?

I count 29 character positions in that field. You'll have to abbreviate something i.e. "Technician" could easily be put as "Tech" just for example.

Try to use more general title that your very specific long title is under it, Instead of writing, Java Web application Developer, you can say Web Developer,
Beside if you are applying under family class whether you are security guard or a CEO they don't care , as this is used for Skilled workers programmes.

I used short forms already that's the funny part. My job title of Team Lead, Network & Systems Administration. How would you make a short form out of that? I tried Team Lead, Network/Systems Admin but it cuts out at the Ad part.

I am just sponsoring my wife, so for the undertaking section, I have entered the following information.

4. Yourself = 1
5. Current undertaking = 0 (all of the options)
6. Persons not included in 5. above, if applicable
A) Your spouse or common-law partner. Provide details on the back of this page. = 1
B) Every other family member... = 0
7. Total number of persons in 4, 5 and 6 above = 2

Would that be correct? Also, what do details are they asking for on the back of the page? That's confusing.

Also where do I get the original Option C printout from CRA?

You must request the option c from the cra. Call them and they'll mail it to you. Its a fancy immigration and revenue term for your notice of assessment.

Yourself is 1 plus 5a)1 for your wife so that will be a total of 2 at question 7.

To obtain these printouts free-of-charge from the Canada Revenue Agency, call 1 800 959-8281.

Thanks guys! I didn't do my income taxes for 2012 yet but I'm going to do them soon. Would CRA still send me option C for the year of 2012?

So then for page 2, I have everything blank even "6. A) Your spouse or common-law partner if not listed on the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)..."

Sorry if these questions seem stupid. I'm really confused.

CIC hates blank spaces they may think you forget, so you better put N/A or zero in the number of persons.
There is even risk that they may return your application.

So I should write N/A for every section that has a blank even if I don't select the check box? Like I am Employed and the Unemployed and Self-Employed sections are blank for obvious reasons, but I should write N/A for those sections as well?

Also, I have a nickname that my wife and family addresses me by and not my first name. Should I include that under Given Names along with my given name that is in my passport?

No, it's similar to a Notice of Assessment in the sense that they don't have the data yet to produce one, at least not until you have filed. If you can get one for 2011, that's fine.

well what CIC say in their video tutorials, if the question is not applicable just put it n/a. So everything that does not apply to you put n/a.

For employed ,non employed and self employed there is nothing between them so you should select one of these, nicknames and others you should include as they are asking for.
