Sponsoring Parents in 2015

It seems Singapore is breaking the barrier. Something is happening in Delhi (India) lots of ppl are waiting for PPR and I know one of my friend had submitted passport more then a month ago (applicant from 2011) and haven't got his passports back yet.

Delhi office has tons of backlog still to be cleared, I think it will take another 2-4 months for them to do so before we hear anything from them.

From what I heard from other people who applied in 2010 from Delhi, their file was moved from Delhi to Ottawa for further processing. And it's true for some, as Delhi was one of the busiest visa office in past, but thanks to this new centralising immigration process, that now they can send the files to other office for further processing and picking up pace with new cases.

The resources in Delhi has also been jacked up to speed up things. But if you see 2014 cases, they didn't even have started getting their ppr. So definitely been slower than other visa office.

both my parents have been stayed in Canada for more than six months. will Ottawa normally require police certificates for Canada? Shall I bring them to get those certificates now as the sponsorship has been approved.

My mom has been staying here for much more than six months and so far we got PCC request only of our home country.

Yes, it's rocking for now, at least for PGP. According to the SS, it also seems to follow timelines (2014 files first, then 2015 and perhaps 2016 in near future).
